Considering i can do the first thing with ease and the second occasionally (especially with no one guarding me), is it really that impressive?

This game called basketball is just to easy for Simmons.

I'm willing to bet Nick Young can do the same crap.

Philly trade: #1 pick and Okafor
Lakers trade: #2 pick, Russell and removing all protections off the pick owed to the 76ers

Simmons is the most transcendent talent out of the bunch and Okafor could be the next great offensive big man. Philly gets perimeter help and clears out the log jam in the front court. Plus it could net them another lottery pick next year.

These Okafor trades are getting tiring. The Lakers passed on him and now you you want to trade D'angelo for him just to get the first pick??? Makes no sense. The Lakers are sitting pretty at #2.

It has less to do with Okafor and more to do with Simmons who has the most potential as a franchise changing player. We know Philly is shopping Okafor so why not take advantage of that? It's like asking would you trade Lebron/Durant/Davis and Bosh for Klay Thompson and Kyrie?

Its nothing like that....you don't know how any of these guys are going to turn out at all....its all guessing gm right now....and with that trade where's the interior d going to come from? Spacing? How will simmons operate when both ok4 and randle can only score in the paint?

Of course the draft is a crap shoot, but why wouldn't you put yourself in the best position to the win. Based on scouting, skill set and the NBA game Simmons is the BPA pick. Posters love to **** on Okafor but forget he put up 17 and 8 as a rookie. As far as defense is concerned it takes a whole team effort and it just means we'd have to have surround him with strong perimeter defenders. And this makes a lot of sense with the NBA game drifting more towards the perimeter. In this scenario it's obvious that you bring Randle off the bench as your 6th man and start Nance since he has the range to go out on the perimeter. The fine details are less important than to landing the best player and building the optimal team around him.

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

That YouTube video was from 2015. I'm going to assume he's improved a little bit since then. (Hopefully)

Can't shoot. Lebron not a great shooter shot 38% from 3 as a senior in high school. Simmons shot 29% while taking about 1/3 the attempts Lebron did. Guys that have followed him since his early high school days all kinda feel like he's regressed as a shooter the past couple years. He has bad form on his jumper and he's really inconsistent with it. He's not a shooter. You know you're in trouble with your shot when a bunch of scouts think you're shooting with the wrong hand. The dude is great in transition and is a good passer and has great vision. Shooting is never going to be a strong skill for him

When did DX move Simmons back to #1? Curious what made them change their mind.

This past week they did. They do their drafts based on team needs, etc.

Brett Brown has a very close relationship to Ben's family and Ben himself. Ben could be the next Lebron. Or he could be the next Michael Beasley.

Ben is a gifted passer. Amazing athlete and has somewhat of an IQ on the offensive end. Ben needs to play the PG position in the NBA. He's clearly not a stretch four and can't shoot worth a damn to be a "Real" 3.

I think Sixers should take Ben and Lakers should take Ingram.

If you're that excited about making a 3 point shot then yeah, you can't shoot.

It's now their mock draft on the main page not their big board. If you go to the top 100 prospects bar Ingram is still #1 there.

Colangelo isn't trying to hide at all he's taking Simmons so the #1 pick is over
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

where Ingram and Simmons would rank in the last several drafts of one and done's. I largely agree: http://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/where-ben-simmons-and-brandon-ingram-rank-vs-recent-top-nba-draft-prospects/

In an interview with Howard Eskin on 94 WIP, Sixers President of Basketball Operations Bryan Colangelo admitted to knowing what he would do with the first pick if the draft were held today.

“Do you know, right now, who you are going to take with the #1 pick?” Eskin asked Colangelo.

“Yes,” Colangelo responded. “I know what I would do today.”

You want to leave your options open right down to the bitter end,” Colangelo said. “Any number of things can happen in this process. Players reveal certain things over time. Some of it is based on scouting and watching games, and some of it is based on the interview and meeting process, some of it is based on individual workouts and physical informatoin. You look at everything, you want to comb through all of the data to make sure there is nothing you have not uncovered.”

Colangelo also admitted he’s not allowed, per league rules, to announce his decision in advance

“In the event of a draft pick you cannot publicly state who you are going to select prior to the commissioner walking up on stage and making that announcement,” Colangelo said. “Even if we were set in stone on our decision, we’d be prohibited by league rules to do so in terms of telling people.”

As I reported over the weekend, multiple sources with knowledge of the Sixers’ thought process say it is LSU forward Ben Simmons who Colangleo is leaning toward selecting first overall in June 23rd’s NBA draft.

If Colangelo knows who he wants, Simmons probably knows, and the trickle down effect...

Ingram looks stony... I guess that's how he plans to put on weight.
