If Romo stays healthy (HUGE if) we are likely close to that 2014 team. If Romo gets hurt again they'll be in position to draft one of the top QB's in next year's draft.

I said it before, and I will say it again. Unless we average 38 points a game with Romo, we have no shot with this defense.

I just heard we had a player go down with a broken foot. haven't found out who it was yet. Damn, we just can't get a break with Jerry any more. THE CURSE OF JERRY.

Our 3ird round draft pick DT, Collins is out 10 to 12 weeks with a broken foot. Now McClain is out of shape, having offseason issues and now refusing to show up for practices and OTA'S. Defense looking real good going into next season, huh? Isn't it nice to have a cancer on your team that is not committed to being a Dallas Cowboy when we need him most. All I can say is just, Wow.

He did show up to mini-camp today but I still have doubts he'll be on the team by game 1. McFadden is also out 2 months with a broken elbow. He's another one that I doubt makes the team.

Hope we find someone... anyone... to replace McClain. I appreciate his desire to spend time with his kids. But seriously dude - GTF into shape!

Zeke starts Week 1.

This is another reason why I like drafted players instead of other teams rejects, you know, FA's. Apparently he's not prod to be a Cowboy and have this opportunity. I'd rather take my lumps with a nice young LB we can develop. Oh, but we didn't do anything in the draft on defense or even a back up QB. I'd just as soon cut his ass and I know what Landry would have done.

You guys see the latest reports? Looks like our defensive coordinator is already experimenting with changes on the defense. Looks like they want to switch sides for Claiborne and Carr. I guess Carr used to play the right side when he was in K.C and is way more comfortable there. Looks like Jones may be going to safety.

Jones will be the starting safety next to Church. I also think the rookie Frazier beats out Wilcox. No big deal about Carr and Claiborne switching sides. They couldn't play any worse.

The LB core is going to be interesting. I still have a strong feeling that McClain will retire at some point during camp.

They are definitely going to struggle on defense this year. Even the DL guys they took are going to take a year or two to develop. I would expect the priority going into the next draft would be LB (I think MLB). Unless a top QB falls to them.

By chance did you guys happen to see the piece in the Dallas Morning News yesterday on Dak Prescott? I'm away but when I get to a computer I need to post the link to that and also his comments at a camp with high school kids over the weekend.

Hope we can develop him. Because the kid drips leadership. Big time.

Cowboys just learned that Rolando McClain has been given a 10-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Just keeps getting better all the time on the defensive side of the ball. I wonder how many true Cowboy fans still think I'm nuts for wanting to go all out on defense this past draft.

You just THOUGHT our defense was going to suck BJJ. We are about to redefine "suck".

On better note, how's your summer going? All my fantasy teams are drafted and I'm ready for training camp.

It's been good. Rangers leading the West, a new job with a new role and getting ready for my grandson's senior football season. Plenty to keep my mind off of our defense.

Been home the past 2 days under the weather. Been catching up on my reading and have watched all the NFL networks while being bored. Damn, just about everyone is trashing our defense on ESPN and NFL Network. Hell, even Darren Woodson stated the Cowboy defense will struggle big time and will have to create turnovers to have a chance this year. he also stated the Cowboys will have to average 28 points a game just to have a chance to win. I think I posted way back a few months ago they will need to score more than that. Lets hope Romo stays healthy and we score a lot of points, otherwise our season will be over by week 6 and be another very long frustrating year.
