Yea he walked at a good rate last year and this year he only has three. Davis has big time power, but given he'll never hit for a high average, he has to walk more.

Cubs apparently interested in Braun, hell why not. Cubs have a few good prospects left. Send them Lucroy too then.

Mets need a 3b with Wright out indefinitely. Herniated cervical disc, could be career-threatening. I live in NYC and I love the guy - always a class act. It's a shame but maybe the Brewers can benefit. Hill has been as good as Wright this year without the injury risks and the Mets should go for a right-handed bat if it's available. What other 3b's are out there for trade?

ETA: Just checked all the 3b's with over 100 pa's and all the 3b's on bad teams are either absolute trash or they're under-25 core players. I don't think there's an option even close to Hill (even at his age) unless it's someone who's not playing 3b right now but can. This could be a deal.

Hill has been good but how much stock will teams like the Mets put into the fact that his entire season of production has come off of the AA-caliber Reds pitching staff and one Marlins game?

His splits are obviously extreme and I'm sure teams will take note, but lots of other players have had the opportunity to play the Reds and haven't hit 5 hr's against them. I'm sure many players would see their stats plummet dramatically if you took away a couple great series against a terrible pitching staff or some games in Colorado. Few players would lose as much as Hill, but those games still count. It's a factor but I think most teams will mostly chalk Hill's prior mediocrity up to an early season slump. More importantly, he's so much better than any 3b that might be on the market that you could take away all 5 of those hr's and he'd still be the best option (his OPS in May would still be over .900 if all 5 hr's were turned into doubles instead). I think he's a perfect fit for the Mets and I'm cautiously optimistic the Brewers have some leverage. They just have to convince the Mets they're not eager to trade Hill because they're close to .500 and getting healthy and they think they can make a run at the wild card. :-)

I admit that I don't know what other options the Mets might have among guys who aren't currently playing 3b but could if needed.

Theyll play Wilmer Flores there and probably be just fine. He started for them all year last year and they went to the WS. I doubt were going to get much of anything for Hill.

I just want Hill gone so Perez can play everyday. So i don't care if the return is nothing more than money savings.

I completely understand. I want to see what Perez can bring on an everyday kind of scale. He's probably a utility guy but I get it. Im all for selling everything off. Its exactly what we should be doing. However they probably wont do that.

I feel for White Sox fans. Maybe Tatis Jr. is nothing and this just becomes a salary dump, but the Padres last year and now the White Sox this year are making such Bucks-esque shortsighted moves with crappy teams.

Estrada always had good stuff but he simply lacked any kind of consistency. It's been awesome to see him really come of age north of the border. He's having a fantastic season. And, I think the trade was a smart gamble and we still have room to see how it plays out.

Marcell Ozuna is a stud. Let's somehow get him from Miami.

Aaron Hill 2-4 with 2 RBI in his Red Sox debut. He'll be starting at 3B for them until Travis Shaw gets healthy. He'll then platoon there and give Pedrioa rest at 2nd here and there. Perfect acquisition for Boston.

I've always been a Hill fan and having him on the Brewers for 1/2 a season cemented it further. I really wish we would have had him on the '08 or '11 teams over ****ty Bill Hall or Casey McGehee at 3B.

The Nationals are having a great season and their entire outfield (Werth, Revere, Harper) are having bad horrible. Murphy, Ramos, and Espinosa are carrying them offensively.

Their pitching staff is ridiculous. Not sure about the bullpen but Strasburg, Scherzer and Roark are having amazing seasons.

Khris Davis with 2 HRs against R.A. Dickey today in their victory over the Blue Jays. Dude is just having a Khris Davis-type season. Hitting .258 with 22 Hrs and 60 RBI. Dude can rake and is pretty underrated considering he's been in Milwaukee and Oakland his whole career.

Looking at their numbers from this season, my advice would be for both of them to STFU.

This Cubs team was too likable. Adding a POS like Chapman certainly helps with that.
