Who's everyone's bust predictions?

Hahah John Salmons that's a good one. I've watched close to 80 percent of Bembrya college games there's no way he's John Salmons. To me the best comparison is Evan Turner. Versatile big guard who isn't necessarily a shooter but is crafty in the mid range and near the basket. I do think Bembry can develop a jumper though because his form isn't as awkward as ETs.

McCaw is more raw than Bembry but he might have a little bit more potential. Might take him a little longer to adapt to the NBA game as sometimes it seems the college game moved too fast for him.

Yeah your right about Bembry and McCaw skill set... definitely better play makers and defenders than Salmons and Ross...

Bembry, I believe will be a cross between Andre Iguodala (GSW) and Turner... he actually measures out to the same exact size as A.I when he came out of Arizona.

McCaw, only 20, can really shoot the ball with range and his long wingspan helps him create alot of turnovers on D... I believe he is better than Malik Beasley.
Just needs NBA strength and conditioning..

For balance in our lineup, they currently play both sides of the ball... got to love that.

Would love either or (especially Bembry) plus a speedy PG to push J.Grant maybe Cat Barber/ or another SF....

But getting both Bembry and McCaw would be awesome!

Yeah Bembry becoming Iggy would be awesome but, I don't know if he's as athletic as Iggy was but he's definitely not unathletic either. I also don't know if Bembry is a s good defensively as Iggy was coming out of college but, he can definitely make some plays on taht end and isn't a slouch. Bembry is a weird guy to put a comparison too because he's very unique and multi faceted. Moreso than most college guys who are going in his range of the draft are. Part of the reason why I think he's simply just being picked too low for all that he brings to a basketball team. I guarantee if you switched the teams Valentine and he played for in college Valentine wouldn't have ever been hyped to be a lottery pick like he was for a while and Bembry would be a lot higher on draft boards.

Murray? That's a surprising one. I agree with the others, but Murray I think will at least become a serviceable 6th man scorer.

Only reasons I'm looking forward to the draft is there seems to be all sorts of smoke signals the Knicks will get a pick of some sort, from working out players (yes, I know DLeague and FA, but still) and the fact they did a set up for draft day.

But more than that, Phils cryptic comment that the Knicks will get a PG by undercover means, or something like that.

Just has me thinking either draft day trade or targeting a player in the draft who is a SG or SF with good passing skills that they see as future point player.

Considering where he's slotted to go, serviceable 6th man would equate to bust IMO. I'm just so sure about his game and how it will translate. His game is all over the place at times.

I'll be happy if he pans out, but right now I just can't see it.

Whitehead's stock has been dropping (as I noted earlier), from late 1st/early 2nd to mid/late 2nd.

Dunn has the potential to be the best PG out of past year's AND this year's Drafts.

Draft chatter:

Russillo ‏@ryenarussillo 1h1 hour ago
Picks #3 #5 #7 are talked about the most as being available w/ NBA GMs. (Obviously other picks are as well)

Russillo ‏@ryenarussillo 1h1 hour ago
Teams keep referencing the cap as an obstacle w/ trades. "Why do I want to trade a $7m player knowing it will cost me $14m to replace him?"

Russillo ‏@ryenarussillo 1h1 hour ago
The Celtics have been trying to package #3 and another player/players for a legitimate starter. Teams have not been interested.

Russillo ‏@ryenarussillo 1h1 hour ago
Not saying it's impossible but sentiment around league is that Boston doesn't have anyone on roster that other GMs really want.

Probasketballdraft ‏@Probballdraft 48m48 minutes ago
A bit of #NBADraft chatter: Boston has discussed 3 and a contract for Khris Middleton. Danny Ainge wants to add a scorer. #Celtics

make it happen phil

i'd jump on dude if he were available in the second round.

pause.

just recognize he is SUPER raw and really requires development. so much would have to come in the way of his character. he is a protoype of the player who would actually benefit from 3 or 4 years of college ball. he could have played himself into the lottery. but this year he's a longshot for the first round.

Yeah I think the benefits of drafting a guy like Murray or Hield is that they'll always have an NBA-level skill of shooting that almost makes them complete bust proof as long as your expectations aren't too high.

In the worst case scenario, if Williams and AA opts in which is likely. The Knicks will have $18.1 million dollars to spend.

1. Teletovic=6.5
2.Courtney lee=9.5
3.Draft SG 2nd rd=1m
4.Draft 2nd rd SG/PF=1m

We have bird rights for Lance and Gallo if we have to dip into cap money to match let them go :D

One thing I will say is that when he's hot, he's hot. I watched the entire game against Vanderbilt, and watching him and MFD go head to head was a special game - we were putting our most athletic / best perimeter defenders on him, and it didn't matter. Had a couple of other games he just goes off. I do understand what you're saying, though. When you draft high, you want high potential. I also like drafting guys with high floors and in a draft with weak talent, drafting a guy with a higher floor and a "lower" ceiling (not franchise cornerstone) is a great move IMO.
