I can't really process the trade at this point. Just makes the whole draft so much less fun.

Nothing like getting excited for this. I know you can't expect much at 22, but it's still always fun to bring a new player in.

still trying to wrap my head around this trade. I know we wanted to sign him last summer, but not feeling this move at this time.

takes all the fun out of draft day, thats for sure.

We wanted Belinelli last season so this is not a new decision. We clearly had a game plan that included bringing him in.

Very curious to see if we try to get back in the draft. So many folks are trying to move out, wouldn't surprise me if we do Lamb or Hawes to buy back in.

I'm OK with this. We need to know full deal & see who is still there at 22 before full reaction
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I think Marc is a fine player at the YMCA and a decent waiter at the bistro. Otherwise.....
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Don't panic over this this deal for #Hornets. They understand they can't bring back all 5 FA's - this is cheap deal for vet to lessen blow.

So we wanted to free up some cap space and ended up taking on salary? The hell??

Can't we get a player of his caliber for free agency that costs less? Why do we always make "solid" moves to ensure our spot of first round exit

Marco, charitably, is not a great defender & didn’t shoot it well last year.. Joerger wants/needs better perimeter D off the bench.

#20 = Thad Young
#22 = Marco Belinelli =
#21 = The 100 or so players between them I guess

Although #Hornets won't technically save money in this deal, it is a guaranteed cheap deal as cap rises. Another theme: veteran - win now.

I was hoping we'd swing for Thon Maker's potential or take Denzel Valentine to be Batum 2.0. I'm not a fan of this trade. I haven't seen much of Belinelli since the Spurs about 3 years ago so my guess is that he's on the decline.

Kings need shooting, so dealing Marco Belinelli to Charlotte 4 the 22nd pick (Yahoo! first) seems counterintuitive. But it was a tough fit.

He's a shooter, but he didn't shoot well with the Kings though.
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.
