A person in Perth Australia claims he went to high school with Thon and he graduated at 18yrs old in 2011 and that's where this whole thing started. But he's lived in US and Canada since then and attended High Schools in both countries. Now how in the freaking world can you graduate from 2 different high schools in 1st world countries and not have ANY record of it and it's all just a guessing game?! It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Granted maybe he wasn't 6yrs old when he left Sudan, but he sure wasn't 10yrs old, there's to big of a difference there. And he would've had to have been 10yrs old when he left Sudan for the story to add up to what it's being portrayed. It does not add up at all. Australia and Canada aren't exactly 3rd world countries where things like graduating high school aren't records that can be attainable extremely easily.

Has anyone even seen the yearbook pic that started this non sense anyway? Like I said its claiming he's 18/19yrs old in 2011 but he looks like barely a teenager and he's pictured in between 2 female classmates who also look no older than 14.

I guess it's really just my opinion but it's way more suspicious to me the circumstances being portrayed rather than believing it could actually be true.

this all hangs on Australia knowing and being willing to dispute the kid's age which I am not sure is even legal and impossible given where he came from

Spent the last 10 minutes trying to figure out from this picture if he can palm a basketball

He worked out with a WNBA ball from what I've been told.

He is thinner than Adam Silver.

Silver has like 15 pounds on him, wow.

If we wanted to reach for the stars like that, wouldn't Skal fit that while being less of a complete question mark? I mean, we just drafted a 215 pound center whose age is unknown.

typically when there are questions about someone's age, they're lying

we lied to ourselves about Arsen and Yi

it seems like we may be doing it again

I bet there are people posting in this thread that still want to see Obama's birth certificate and it's easy to tell who they are.

It's somewhat amusing that most people wouldve been satisfied with Davis who is still on the board

At this rate some of you guys might get your wish with Davis going to the Bucks...in round 2!
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

If Maker is older than he claims people, he doesn't know it and no one is ever going to know. Read up on the F'ing Sudanese lost boys and you will understand that they picked the giant kid out of a refugee camp because they wanted at least one of the camp's residents to have a shot at a good future. Some of you are bitching like this kid and his handlers are trying to con the Bucks. Gonread about the Sudan's history or watch "Maybe God Forgot About Us" or read "What is the What" and get over indignation about the nerve of a refugee to not doccument his age.

He's also about the opposite of open minded.

as it relates to the draft I'm very openminded. I don't spend much time on the junior leagues

With those two things were more shady including an apparent name change for Ersan. Here we have people claiming Thon graduated from a HS in freakin Perth Australia and then moved to the US and Canada to play in HS again. There is no way I'm buying that considering how easy it would be to prove.

My supposed ego has jack to do with this. You're making it a question of credibility on flimsy appeals to authority (of a guy who got his job off cronyism, his name as a player, and made every mistake he could last offseason) so I responded about my track record on Bucks' picks. The proof is in the pudding. I reacted the same way in the past because I was disappointed as a fan about our pick, got the predictable backlash from homers and others who liked the guy, but my frustration almost always proved to have just cause in time. And there's bad and good. Maybe you'd appreciate it if I spoke positively if I liked the guy. Or be fine with it if I was neutral or admitted ignorance about a player, as I'd do to if that were the reality. You're doing a lot of projecting here. It sounds like I shook your fragile ego because you liked the guy beforehand or you derive value out of how the team does.

I just can't reiterated what a Joe Alexander move this was. Hammond, Kidd, and Schwartz just trollin.
