got lucky that pass ball hit the back wall hard and bounced right back at Grandal, we got the last out by just an inch with Blanton's tag at the plate too. Urias still have a chance to get his win, come on Jensen, shut em out for the last 3 outs. and please offense, give an insurance run or two for Kenley and ultimately, for Urias.

dodgers win! and it's our 'wild card leading' 43rd win of the season. but more importantly for one young man, it is Urias' first win in the majors. if this is his last start, what a way to end his 19th year in life and his first major league season.

Sunday night. Down 4-3 to Pitt.
Turner runs into an out at the plate because of the brick wall. We never threatened again and lost 4-3.

#Dodgers Dave Roberts said Joc Pederson had X-rays. Showed no fracture. "Bruised AC joint" diagnosis for now. Will be re-evaluated.

The Dodgers started Nick Tepesch (who?) on Friday night. They will start Brock Stewart (what?) on Wednesday. Whatever the status of left-hander Clayton Kershaw, they want to find a more established stopgap until starting pitchers such as Brandon McCarthy, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Alex Wood come off the disabled list.

To that end, they are talking to the Rays about Erasmo Ramirez, according to major-league sources.

Ramirez's only start this season was April 16, but he has a resilient arm and the Dodgers believe that he could pitch four innings and possibly five immediately, sources say. The Nationals' Yusmeiro Petit, a similar type, emerged from the bullpen to throw 94 pitches in six innings against the Dodgers on June 20.

The Dodgers are comfortable keeping rookie lefty Julio Urias in the rotation, but know that it would reduce his potential to contribute later in the season. As for Kershaw, more will be known on the condition of his back after he visits Dr. Robert Watkins in Los Angeles, but he is still listed to make his scheduled start Friday.

Kershaw was not scheduled to pitch during the current series in Milwaukee, so he flew back to L.A. on Wednesday. If he had flown with the team on Thursday, he could not have been examined until Friday, the day he was listed to start.

okay. I guess I jumped the gun. there goes a 3 run HR.

christ... bases loaded again and it is still the same inning. he may not be as good as the guy who struck out 2 in the first inning with just 14 pitches, but he can't be as bad as this inning's guy giving up 3 run HR and load up the bases again with two outs already.

This predicament sucks as it looked like we were going to save Urias and throw him later in the year. Now we will throw him again soon and he will be closer to his innings limit
