Nope, national media says it's between OKC and GSW. LAC out. Spurs, like us, no info at all. Nothing about Miami today. Durant met with OKC for like 5 minutes after the Miami meeting, supposedly.

I posted a short one in 2007 after the KG trade but I will have to fire up a thank Wyc/thank Ainge post if the Celtics sign KD tomorrow.

If they don't and he goes to GSW, I will fire up an F U post to Harrison Barnes and all of the Warriors that kind of choked. Obviously, I can never prove it but I just can't believe KD would ever join the Warriors if they had won the title this year.

It would be like Patrick Ewing joining he Bulls after they won a couple of titles or frankly even worse than that.

Had to check back in before I get some sleep.

I'll conclude this rollercoaster ride of a day by saying the same thing I've been saying for well over a month on here now....

He's going to be a Celtic.

Good night y'all!

Is anyone a gambler -- I am not - but it would be interesting to watch the title odds right now in the past 24 hours.... If people are betting on Boston much more and GSW/OKC less....obviously good news. If Thunder chances have fallen down but Warriors going up, obviously bad news.

Richard Jefferson said on his snapchat that he's going to Golden State...could be just speculation though idk

EDIT: Never mind, said he had no idea after and was just joking

Yes, I saw it, looks more like just guessing and messing around. Not looking so serious about it. Hope is like that, fingers crossed he will join Boston!

I guess they weren't happy about him saying Celtics were out of the running. Hopefully no one here.

prov1ml wrote:Went over to Celticsblog to see what they had to say..In there Durant thread there is a poster named saltlover who claims to have sources. Anyone know if he's legit? He says throughout that his source says its between us and OKC. Media was floating GSW as the leader just to see what the public backlash would be. He claims Durant was ready to sign with us today but has a tough time leaving the org he's been with his whole career, etc.

Also random thought I just had....I find it interesting Bulpett of all ppl basically broke the news of the decision coming tomorrow instead of tonight. Before anyone in the national media or any of the guys Smitty was talking with. Find that odd??

First off, I'm new here. I know of Froob from another forum and decided to join up here as well. I've been reading most everything here and you guys are pretty damn smart. So hi people!

As for this, I kind of see it. He cannot go to GS. It would be like TB going to the Jets or Colts or Ravens etc. The Bulpett angle is a very interesting one indeed. People were blowing it off as nothing when in reality it was something. Why would a Mass guy have that info loooong before anyone else? Even OKC guys?

Also there is a CBS article that lists the Celtics as the favorite behind OKC with GS not really being a major player in reality. It truly makes sense. He can't go West and roll over OKC to win a ring. If they meet in the Finals so be it. That's a different animal and would be much more acceptable.

Dude our reporters are saying we aren't yet...I still doubt we're getting Durant but come on now. And yes, we can be a little over-passionate sometimes haha

Two side notes

The Jerry West call. Doesn't that just seem like posturing on GSW's part? Telling the GSW fanbase they threw the kitchen sink at Durant. It reminds of the Horford news that was coming out before he announced, saying Atlanta is now coming to the table with a 5 year deal when you know it was already decided just so ATL could save face.

Doesn't it seem like Ainge is trying to make the Woj's of the world look bad. Like he has a vendetta. Woj pretty much blew the Horford news and backed tracked almost immediately with some BS. I don't remember that ever happening to Mr. Woj. He's also been dead silent about the Durant meetings since the Horford news. Just saying...

I guess, I'm expecting Durant to go to the Thunder(back home lol). Going to the Warriors makes so little sense, the talent on this team would be ridiculous, but I dunno how they gonna make it all click.
Good assessment:

I read earlier the finalists were Miami GSW and OKC. Celtics are most likely out it seems

Miami was false for sure--don't remember who said it, but one of the reputable reporters said they were out.

Man, Woj hasn't written a word regarding Durant, I guess everything is still in play.

Still. If anyone could get Durant to not only spurn the only team he's known and take less money it's Riley.
