For Golden State, the 6-man rotation at the PG, SG, SF and PF positions breaks down like this:

PG Curry/Livingston
SG Klay/Livingston
SF Durant/Iggy
PF Green/Iggy

:o

That's the best 1 through 4 ever assembled. It is possible that all 4 starters will be first or second team All-NBA (Klay might be 3rd team). Those two backups could each be in the conversation for 6th man of the year.

I guess going "close but no cigar" a couple times will change your perspective. Also have to wonder how he felt about the Ibaka deal, plus everyboy knows Westbrook is going back to LA first chance he gets. So he wouldn't have been in OKC for more than another year anyway, and based on the Ibaka trade I'm guessing Presti already figured as much.

Looks like we're in for another Finals rematch! What does Cleveland do now to keep pace?

I think in terms of starts, Cleveland goes with what they have to start the season. They are one of the few teams operating over the cap, so they do have the full MLE to use this offseason. They have a couple of TPEs they could trade for cheap vets. If they have trouble replicating their success, I think they look at moving Love.

I can't think of any other two MVPs playing together in their primes

Durant just said he is now recruiting Lebron, Harden, Anthony Davis, Chris Paul, Lenoard...because it's going to be too hard to win a championship with the current GSW squad.

Klay is one of the best two way two guards. Klay always plays the opposing best wing man when Iggy isn't on the floor. Klay could realistically win a MVP. Curry is great but Klay is great as well....

Klay is great. That's why he'll make All NBA 3rd team. I'm doubtful that he'll make the second team because he'll have to beat out 1 of Curry, Westbrook, Paul and Harden on a team where he's the 3rd option. Plus you never know if another guy breaks out, like maybe Kyrie, Wall or Butler.

Putting this where it should be...

Let's talk Boston first. They were young last year. They gained another year of experience AND they added Horford. They are going to regress?

The wizards were a young team a season ago and they regressed. They have superior top level talent compared to the Celtics. Al Horford is on the wrong side of 30 and he's their best player.I will be shocked if they sniff 48 games this season. It should not be a surprise to anyone if the Wizards outplay them this season.

- We completely switch our play on the offensive side of the ball.
- Instead of PP or Ariza we had a junior Porter.

To compare it to the Celtics, they would need to
- Abandon their current schema - not going to happen
- Trade Johnson and Crowder

Instead, they will keep their current schema, build on their current roster and fortify their weakest position. Plus they get Bradley back. Hmmm.

The 76ers could totally clean up on the Warrior's "issue". Trade Nerlens Noel for Bogut for 3 first round picks that must be above 15. Starting in alternate years after the Warriors don't make the playoffs.

They might be waiting a while, but after say, 2022 Sixers could again have 5-6 of the top young bigs in the league, ready to trade one to a top team in a need of inside help, in return for, say, 3 first round picks that must be above 15, starting in alternate years after the team doesn't make the playoffs. They could be the most tantalizing treadmill in NBA history.

Uh how does that help against Durant, Klay and Curry?

It doesn't

They need more wing players who can defend though. Green and Leonard isn't enough, they need another or two

People underestimate Bogut and Ezeli leaving. Pau and Aldridge could be hell down low if you're talking Green and Damion Jones

The GSW sign zaza with room exception. That at least partially addresses the center position.

Zaza + Verajao (if they can keep him) should be enough to make it through the regular season. But what happens in the playoffs? With Durant does it even matter?

There is a lot of KD hate on the Twittersphere, even my 12 y/o was talking about it.

The Pacers want to give Lance Stevenson a multi-year deal!?! Why?
