Q: Knicks fans always have high expectations, sometimes maybe not even grounded in reality over the years. Before last season, Melo came out on media day and talked about managing expectations with such a young team. But with this roster now and all these veterans, what should the expectations be for the Knicks?

ROSE: They're high. I mean, with these teams right now, they're saying us and Golden State are the super teams, and they're trying not to build that many super teams, and Adam Silver came out with the statement and this and that. And the expectations I think of us, we just want to win. Talking to Melo and all the guys who've been around. You've got Brandon who just signed for one year, he's got to show why he's there. I've got to show why I'm there. Joakim has to show why he's there. Everybody's trying to prove themselves. When you've got a group like that, it's like, alright, I know everybody wants to do that, but we're going to break this down as simple as possible, and try to win every game. I think winning takes care of every category, as far as being an athlete. You look at endorsements, being on the floor, almost everything -- I think winning takes care of all that. And if you're in the league, winning takes care of all the mistakes, or if you have any problems on teams.

WTF is wrong with this guy?

Please explain to us unenlightened morons how Boston is too racist to host an NBA all-star game.

I'm happy about it personally.

Can we PLEASE bring it to Boston though?

You've either never been to New Orleans or just ignored what was around you to say something so baltantly stupid and ignorant.

The Celtics haven't hosted an All Star Game since 1964....after 52 years, I'd say we're over due...

Heck, the last time Boston hosted an All Star Game for any sport in general was 17 years ago...

That's a bit ridiculous.

So, want to make a bet with me then? I'll take under 47.5 wins and you take over? Loser has to go to work with JSimon for a day?

Sorry man but idk what JSimon is? lol if you explain, might be able to do a little friendly something here.

I think 47 is high too though. I'll do 45? You think that's too low for a bet, or are you thinking they're gonna be like 35-47?

Ha you don't want to know what JSimon supposedly does for work. My thoughts on this are, I said 47.5 was an outrageous win total for the Bulls, you called me out on it, but now don't want to bet the over on the win total that was set by Vegas - which is 47.5. So either get off my nuts and agree that this team is being overrated by Vegas or let's make a bet with 47.5 as the number!!

I wasn't talking about the playoffs. In the playoffs Wade will play big minutes and try and that's a different story. How about this:

Loser has to spend 15 minutes reading Slartibartfast's blog?

$20?

shari's berries?

Loser leaves realgm for 1 month?

Winner picks the loser's signature for 1 month?

Winner picks what the loser changes their username to?

I'm in if you are...

Hey man, Billy Kingmaker was legit for it's glorious half-season run. Until the server booted me for getting deluged by Chinese spam.

But glad to see you made it back from self-imposed exile.

OK, been drunk-lurking and posting non-sense stuff around this board for the past 2 hours. Now that I saw Rose saying they're a superteam, man Imma hit the bed.

PS: I also think it's time for the City of Boston to host the next All-star game.

2 Things ..

1 - 52 Years since the AGS has been in Boston? Wow. That's ridiculous. I don't get why just don't do 1 city every 30 years? So stupid if it goes back to NOLA for the 3rd time in 10 years.

2 - The new Team USA Jerseys are whackkk. Boring as hell & I hate the tiny shoulder thing they're tryna go to? It looks like a dam spaghetti strap top. I like the more fitted jerseys for sure (the 2000's were rough fashion wise), but damn at least have them in a real jersey with some shoulder on it.

All Star games in the NBA are usually for Franchises/Teams/Fan Bases that are struggling....Celtics don't need new fans---we have the BEST in the league...Even the Lakers have lost lots of fans, now that they are not winning(typical for L.A.)---C's fans stuck around through 22 years of misery.

Do we want the ASG here? February so it will be brutal weather. Everything closes earlier than 2 am. Could be a bad look.

Nah, here we'd somehow end up arguing whether to trade it to Philly for Okafor.

I think the ASG is a much better defender than Okafor will ever be. At most I'd offer james young and TV rights to our Utah summer league.

Have you ever seen ASG? It was a good defender in its prime, now it only dunks and shoots 3s.

My intent was not to offend the "morons" my dude but to simply state the "perception" of racism in Boston. I was half joking no need to get your panties in a mess.

I lived in New Orleans for 3 years. Party central. If you're in and out in a weekend, great. But living in the aftermath of one party after the other, its just filthy. Its hard to live in that chaos and filth and decadence without it messing with your head a bit.

And yeah, racist as hell. Don't miss it a bit.

For a split second, he had me confused. I was thinking Rose, Rondo, Butler, and Noah aren't too shabby but they're not a superteam. Then I quickly corrected my brain and realized I was combining players from the Bulls and Knicks. Then I realized Rose must be in the Twilight Zone, or some sort of alternate reality.
