The only way this makes sense to me is if we are actually trading Winslow/Richardson/Dragic for Westbrook. Not sure how the lineup would shake up, but we have A LOT of guards right now. I don't see them keeping Waiters on the bench over a guy like McGruder who seems to play well with our young guys and he has some chemistry with them.

Dion Waiters has a TS% of 49 for his career. That's borderline out of the league bad.

Goran averaged 17 & 7 post asb last season once we started running. If we could showcase him this year putting up 20 & 7 we could get a serious return for him at the deadline.

He's locked in cheap for the next 4 years making about half what Conley is getting. Now is the time to recoup some value.

Why trade away a reasonable contract? We have Whiteside and Dragic and the kids. Why not build on that?

I agree with you Quiz but the teams that will want him are playoffs teams not lottery teams so at the best we are looking at 14+ draft pick? It makes more sense to keep him than get low first round picks for him. Maybe try to pawn him off with another player to get someone else?

The sole purpose of the TANK operation is to land the Miami HEAT a top 5 lottery pick. Anything out of the top 5 IS CONSIDERED a loss in the eyes of the TANK delegation. We ARE NOT in the business of trying to compete for the 7th/8th seed only to get trounced in tbe 1st round. MIAMI TANK operations are fully on board with a full out TANK, resulting in Josh Jackson. Why did we sign both Williams and J.Johnson? Very similar games. I see no differences in them.

The plan is obvious. Throw a ton of "stuff" at the wall, and see what sticks. Pat is just giving Spo a bunch of options to play with.

Am I the only one that saw Waiters play these past few years? what exactly does he do well? where is the upside for this?

Unless we're playing him big minutes and going for that top 3 draft pick. I think he'll be great in that role.

But just the thought of seeing TJ and Rich or Justise on the bench while Spo plays Ellington and Waiters...God give me strength...
