Rockets trade Beasley for PG Tyler Ennis

Post#1 » by Mr Gametime » Thu Sep 22, 2016 9:01 pm

Forward Michael Beasley traded to the Bucks for PG Tyler Ennis. Rockets fill the void at PG with Ennis a young player who will be given a chance to play in Houston.

Good move, gotta think that if Motie ends up taking the QO the roster is set;

Beverley-Prigioni-Ennis
Harden-Gordon-Brewer
Ariza-Dekker-McDaniels
Anderson-NenĂª-Harrell
Capela-Motiejunas-Onuaku

Likely either NenĂª or Donatas miss some time and D'Antoni plays one between Brewer and McDaniels more to be able to go smaller in the 2nd unit, Ennis could win minutes from Prigs.

Awesome move. Shocked beas had absolutely any value. Ennis hasn't been good for his career but he's got two years left on a rookie deal and just turned 22 this month.

Also interesting, post ASB when he finally got minutes Tyler Ennis had 11.7pts 5.7 ast 4.1trb per 36 on 53% TS and 36% from 3 at 21 years old. Not 'good' but that's definitely quality backup point guard play

How does Ennis fill the void at PG when Harden is the PG in this system?

I only expect Ennis to play like 8-10 mpg. If he can run PnR (which he was best at in college and showed signs last year) and not get killed on D, where he has solid length but shaky athleticism, against second units for that short amount every game I'm thrilled

I agree with this, if this were to happen who would you rather see get minutes Ennis or GP II? Do you think GP II is capable of playing some minutes at the 2 if needed?
