^Did you hear what Rose said about the ball "sticking" on one side pre-game?

Plus, I think Jennings has a real shot to be the long term solution. Especially if he can get that TS% up. He looked good.

With his handles improving I expect to see him start taking people off the dribble from high up and getting into the paint or pulling up for a mid-range

Their strokes are both wet. Just felt more of the KD vibe tonight than the usual Dirk comparison

Why do you think Phil never made a phone call to Durant this summer and didn't go after him in free agency

Phil got him some players so the pressure should be on him to mesh with them now, not to demonstrate he expects the offense to cater to him. That's the tone he set early in the game and that rubbed me the wrong way. He was playing selfishly and that is really disappointing to see after all he has gone through (as have we)

And last season Melo shot 18 times per game to KP's 12

This season they should flip that ratio or at least have them average 15 shots each, but this team is not going to make it if Melo thinks he still deserves to shoot 20+ times a game. He is not efficient enough to handle that.

Tonight KP scored 22 points on 11 shots. That should be the future. On a hot night where the offense is feeding him, KP can score 35 on 20 shots whereas Melo has almost never had that level of efficiency

Although it might actually be true, but, not because of the Knicks, but because of the Warriors. Holy smokes they look unbeatable.

I'm watching the game now cause I just got home... I'm not sure what you guys are on about on offense.

Our offense looks fantastic and getting open looks in the 1st quarter we just can't hit anything yet

I'll tell you this...It annoys me greatly that the front office got him some decent help and he still insists on doing things on his own.
He gonna need to pull his shiet together or we will be tanking to another high pick (which isnt that bad tbh).

KP had one move where he used the new handle and it was sharp. Noticeably better dribble and stuck the shot, in a KD kind of way. Just one play where I really saw the improved handle take effect, but there were other moments where he just seemed crisper and more confident out there, apart from the 3s.

Exciting.

First things first, KP should not have been guarding the smaller, quicker, perimeter oriented Anderson, he should have started at center and Thomas should have been in the starting lineup. KO disappointed me today and should us due to the smaller, quicker starting unit for the Rockets.

Triangle should only be used for certain situations, it is too stagnant and doesn't put us in a position for success. He put up better numbers when the players freelanced

I like how BJ ran the offense more than how Rose ran it.

I understand that it's been a tough week with learning a new coach, basically a whole new team, learning a new system that NOBODY has confidence in anymore, and legs are sore and tired from training camp, but Houston sucks. They're plays were basically drive and kick and you knew it was coning just about every play. Our players were so worried about Harden driving that every 3pt shooter was left open. With a team that does nothing but score off of 3's than you don't have you 7'3 PF guarding the perimeter. Go small!

KP's quick release shots are hot as hell. Dayum.

Rose is making great impression to the opposing guards that he wont be relenting to drive and shoot if there is an opportunity. That is killer instinct. It will help alleviate the burden for the rest of team in the long run.

Noah should be able to figure out how to help the team defend the 3 line.

Horny is a matchup style coach. He is probably studying each of our players' tendencies/strengths/weaknesses right now. I expect him to make appropiate adjustments.

KP proved that his perfect stroke + having a full off season of repetition has made his stroke look KD-like. However, he's still hesitant to dribble in front of smaller players and he'll need to do that in order to fully be like KD. Porzingis knows that at his height the ball is eye level for most guards in defensive stances, so he's very protective of the ball around guards. KP is looking more and more like a 5 and the Knicks need to adjust and have Melo at the 4.

Melo at the 3 and KP at the 4 is not a good idea. Most teams force KP onto the perimeter with a stretch four so his rim protection becomes non existent. Not to mention he is a mediocre perimeter defender. Melo deals with tougher defenders at the 3, and he completely zones out his teammates during his ego rushes against them.

Noah and KP should be fine for short periods due to Noah's ability to defend the rim + his passing ability but the defense and offense will struggle with a 3-4-5 of Melo KP Noah for long stretches.

Yeah.. Rose has to score a little more than he did last year.. Porzingis needs to shoot 18-20 times minimum and Noah needs to play make and qb the D. We'll make the playoffs. We need to run that Rose/Jennings Porzingis Pick and pop to death.

Absolutely. IMO, this whole thing relies on Noah and how much he has left. If he's solid on the defensive end they should be ok. If he misses a ton of time they're screwed. KP needs to be the guy offensively. Pick and pop all game.

Exactly the way I see it right now.

If melo defers to KP and Rose and Noah stays healthy we'll be one of the top teams in the East

no because the clippers are expected to win 50 games while the knicks have a good chance of losing 50 games.
