These elections are about bad and worse. The only question is who is the "bad" and who is the "worse". Personally, I believe Hillary is the "worse", but I can respect somebody who thinks Trump is "worse". I can't respect somebody who thinks Hillary is "good". That's simply lying to yourself.
Good post. Everyone who I know that supports Trump doesn't actually like him. They either want to vote for him to stick it to the establishment or fear Hillary more. Hillary supporters aren't quite as negative about their own candidate but I have yet to find someone who is actually enthused about electing her.
.......
As a side note, I kind of wish we had a different set of offices for government. Our systems were set up when there simply wasn't as many responsibilities. With how many wedge issues and responsibilities there are, its virtually impossible to elect someone who comes close to what people want on all issues.
I would break up these jobs.
For example, state governments should have an elected official responsible for the road department with checks and balances with other groups like the legislature. You don't like the roads? Blame him or her instead of making it issue number 78 for the governor.
More relevant, I would break up the presidency into a triumvirate with divided responsibilities among them.
- Foreign policy and treaty negotiation
- Government bureaucracy and management
- Economics
- Military
- Nominating judicial appointments
etc.
Hell, I would go so far as to create a 4th branch of government to oversee government. A huge department of internal affairs that could investigate corruption, police officer shooters, etc. Its somewhat naive to believe that the government can objectively police itself.

Yeah this is pretty terrible.

Well, free markets are rather rare nowadays. Beyond that, its not really accurate to say the wealth spreads around in a way where EVERYONE gets to enjoy it. However, the alternative is much worse.Winston Churchill wrote:The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.

This is psychotic. In todays world with the internet and the ability to investigate for ourselves there really is no excuse for thinking like this. They literally just released a video about 2 hours ago detailing voter fraud and corruption.

Bascitball wrote:Smug, but I agree. And it goes back to what somebody said earlier that the incentives are short-sighted. When the primary goal is to win elections, we get bad results. Unfortunately, having good qualities and being honest doesn't get a person elected these days. And this applies to both sides.

It's interesting because you've had at least 1 or 2 posts in this thread that were basically Marxist.

Now I haven't watched this "journalists" new series of videos, but isn't this put together by the same guy/group that has been accused numerous times of misleading people in their videos? Didn't this guy have to pay out 10s of thousands of dollars in settlement money after being sued over shady things he did producing videos in the past? I mean, like the content all you want, but this guy isn't on the level as far as legitimate journalism.
Yeah, after checking it out this is the guy who was responsible for the ACORN and Planned Parenthood videos. Those turned out to be such misleading piles of trash that I have to have serious doubts about the accuracy of his new videos.
It's too bad really. If these clips really are the smoking guns that show how corrupt our system is it is a shame they have to come from such a tainted source that will cause many to cast a doubtful eye.

You must be an avid viewer of CNN or an active member of CTR.
A) Podesta emails are real.
B) New FBI emails are real.
C) Foreign Government funding is real.
D) Hillary's campaign having paying violent instigators with the intent to blame Bern/Trump is real and verified by her own website is real.
E)
F) (RELEASED TODAY PART II)
Seriously, what else do you want as proof?

I don't know, an actual report from a non-nut. I don't watch CNN. How about Washington Post, NY Times, the AP, Bloomberg, MSNBC, ABC, CBS - you know any of the 100s of reputable news sources that don't publish on youtube. I'd even take FOX at this point.
My emails are "real" too. That isn't evidence of wrongdoing. A bunch of comments taken out of context aren't evidence of wrongdoing. Especially when they can come from a person who has been demonstrated to have produced fake videos on multiple occasions.
One big problem in our country is the breakdown of intellectual authority. Some people would rather believe a guy on the internet as opposed to the 50 or so reputable media organizations we have. People will believe there own cousin about global warming before they believe scientists. I love the internet, but one thing it has done it has turned facts into opinions and conspiracies into facts. Your desire for this stuff to be true, doesn't make it so.
