Political Roundtable Part XI
Political Roundtable Part X left off here. I think we were talking about politics.

Part XI can also be called X-1, as in the Bell X-1 rocket plane

Gratuitous plug for the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the National Air and Space Museum near Dulles airport. One of the most amazing museums of any kind I've ever seen.
Went to a memorial service at Arlington Cemetery yesterday, a friend's father and mother. The father had been a bombardier in WWII, left the service, then reenlisted and became career JAG. Mother was a longtime voting and women's rights activist. Amazing couple and a pretty remarkable family.
Any service at Arlington Cemetery is impressive, but this was my first that involved a caisson. One of the relatives was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and he anchored the rear of the slow procession on his motorcycle. It was quite powerful, and of course evoked thoughts of my father-in-law, my uncle, and the others I know or know of (like CCJ's father) who are buried there.

I don't know where Nate is today, but I guess that's why he has backups. Normally he does the Political Roundtable transition, but the old one was pretty full. Any moment now, the full Mod Squad is sure to suddenly appear and make me carry their bags.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XI
One thing I've been trying to do daily recently, is train my mental fortitude, and willpower, by watching any of these "Cringe SJW" videos on youtube.
The rules are simple:
Once the video starts, you have to sit on your hands, and watch the entirety, without vomiting, or crying.
I needed a new hobby, and luckily there are 1000s of these videos on youtube, so I should be set for the next few decades.

One of their heroes - Newt - is showing again why he is ahead of Donald as the most duplicitous, scumbag, lowlife, destined for hell if it exists, deceitful hypocrit in the party. This is the guy who spent all of the House's time to get Bill Clinton impeached over a sex scandal, and now he's spending all his interview time saying the elections are fixed because the media is reporting the fact that about a dozen women have come forward with reports of Trump making inappropriate sexual contact with them while not calling Bill Clinton a sexual predator. Newt played the classic ass-hat bully with a female Fox reporter. He arguably did more to cause this era of hate between the 2 parties as anyone else. This is the same guy who preached "family values" after leaving his wife as she was trying to survive cancer. How do you guys justify having this guy as one of your party leaders? Even if I agreed with him on every political issue, I'd be too disgusted to consider him worthy of anything over dog-catcher. The term "horrible human being" should have his picture next to it. Just the site of him turns the air foul wherever he goes.

Adding to Ruzious list - I would add Harry Reid. So happy that Reid and Gingrich are no longer in the Senate and House respectively.

You put Reid and Gingrich in the same boat? Damn.
I mean Reid is a partisan to a certain extent (sort of comes with his job) but Gingrich is a partisan who just happens to be a nasty human being.
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Even if you hate trump, you have to love how he's destroying the establishment GOP.

Worst video yet, overseas money from Belize hinted faked women accusations. Then freaking out and writing back the money.
Willing to accept large Syrian cash donations.....
Agreeing to meets with Clinton for said donations in rapid fashion. Creamer revealing he's known/worked with Obama since he was an organizer in Chicago.

Equal - geez - that would be harsh. But both caused a great deal of harm. And Harry Reid was one of the greatest at attacking people with straight out lies. IMO, bad dude.

He can do that, if Lena Dunham, whoopi Goldberg, and the like, make due on their promise to leave the country if trump wins
I'm tired of these empty promises!!!

I'm a libertarian, but I could. For example, if Jesus ran, I'd be on board with that . . . might complain a bit about spending so much helping the poor and I would have a tough time getting past the whole bit about if another country attacks you, turn the other cheek but I could probably manage it. His old fashioned family values are off the charts.

No. Reid made very bad choices in his job, but he's a decent human being - even seems like a nice guy. Newt lacks basic human decency as a person - not just a politician. It concerns me that so many people who seem otherwise intelligent don't get this.

I get your argument on Gingrich and agree. But Harry Reid made nasty personal attacks a staple of what he did. He was a hack that was more than willing to lie about people as long as it met his means - he was anything but decent.
I don't get defending Harry Reid.

I hardly defended him, but there is no comparison between him and Newt.
