I was a huge fan of Demar's potential coming out of college. Happy to see how well he's doing.

Demar occasionally gets tunnel vision. We see some players like Lebron or Durant who despite being capable of scoring pass out to a hot hand. Maybe the loss will show Demar he too, should do the same.

I am a raps fan and i think dd is nothing more than a volume shooter and a scrub on defense by far the worst defensive shooting guard in the NBA yes he is much worse than Harden on defense. He will come back down to earth and be a inefficient player in no time, he doesn't have the skills or the moves and he is wayyyy too slow to be anything more.

Right. What a timely post to make - just after he has a bit of an off night in Cleveland. Really favours your argument here..

Very curious how warriors will defend the beast that is DD

Iggy/ klay have not been good on man D thus far

I expect to see McCaw to take some turns

Going to be a fun one tonight

Please tell me which of these players he is better than:

Lebron
Curry
Durant
Leonard
Westbrook
Chris Paul
Anthony Davis
Paul George
Harden
Lillard

He is going through a hot streak, he will cool down soon.

After 10 games and a record of 7-3, hes better than anthony davis paul george and lillard in terms of his numbers and team record. its a small sample but its def worth considering.

Lillard still got him beat in VORP, BPM, and Win Shares... DeRozan is beating Lillard in PER, but does anyone even look at PER anymore?

I still don't see how you separate their play.. guess you could say that DeRozan is playing better ever so slightly, especially over the last couple of games. But to say his stats are better is to ignore most stats.

Maybe start with klay on him, then if klay is getting lit up, try KD on him and have klay guard demarre if he is playing or powell?

I imagine Klay or Draymond. Can't see Green being required to guard any of our PFs in that scenario, they aren't scorers or power players. KD can handle Patterson without much effort, for example.

17 free throws as a SG? What.

i thought derozan had a bad game last night with the eye test but he scored 34pts on 18 shots but definitely is a notch below kawhi and jimmy butler. when he has a bad shooting night he almost useless. defense is not there

He plays well against practically every team not named Cleveland, although his efficiency dips against teams with more stars. I'm not too worried. He will bounce back next game. Till then, I'll be watching Negative Raptors fans crawling out of the woodwork.

Imagine how much more dangerous DeRozan would be if Patterson hit his open 3 pointers. That paint would be wide open. Nobody even guards Patterson until he catches the ball and they run at him, that's why he has so many open shots. He should be in the gym right now.

It's pretty hard for me to get excited about a player with a negative On/Off.

Lowry has been by far the Raptors best player this year. Here is how some players do when playing with Lowry. At least Derozen is definitely better than Carroll and Joseph. 8-)

Ross- 13.8
Powell- 12.0
Derozen- 7.2
Carroll- 1.1
Joseph- neg 2.8

Ok. I've been keeping one eye on on the raps (well cause warriors need someone to take a leg out of Cleveland or upset them)

I just don't feel like their iso heavy style is going to get them past Clevland.

Without a trade or some monumental improvement in Valanciunas, the Raptors don't have close to the talent to take out Cleveland this season.

But Derozan? He looks legit. He had a poor showing against the Lebrons (and really it wasn't THAT poor- only poor by the standards we're now holding to him) but kicked butt vs Iggy/Klay/the Warriors.

I think he will continue to torch all but the very elite defensive teams. After that he will need some help to get himself open- this is where guys like Ross, Powell, Carroll, Valanciunas (gets benched for defensive reasons) don't seem enough of a consistent threat.

I'll go one further, Bron needs to get injured before the east opens up to the rest of the field.

Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.
