Adams and Gobert signing 4-year extensions for $100m & $102m respectively should give us all some perspective on Whiteside's $96m.

Whiteside has a bigger role in less minutes and is producing. I think that so far it's safe to say that Whiteside's contract has not impacted his drive to be the best he can be - if anything it looks like it's made him more driven to be a leader.

Not me, but there's so many forces nicknames around at the moment that why not give it a trying to give a player a nickname and see if it sticks

I heard it last year in a list of possible nicknames. I like it but Hassan prefers Agent Block :lol:

I would seriously look to trade Hassan, as great as he is.... He is 27.. He keeps being refferred to as young, but he bloomed late in NBA.I would trade him for 3 first round picks + young nucleus of talent ages 20 - 22.

Who's going no to give up 3 firsts for Hassan? Who has 3 firsts to give up for him?

Of the teams that have more than 1 pick this year Boston (Bkn picks) is the only one that doesn't already have at least a decent starting C. Even then they don't have the contracts they would be happy to move to balance Hassans.

The other teams are Bulls, Nuggets, 6ers, Blazers & Raptors. None of them are a good fit as a trading partner.

Trading Hassan for a godfather deal sounds like a great idea, but the reality of getting it done pretty much nixes the deal.

Centers mature later than other positions.

Last night Hassan showed his real potential. That was positive aggressivity, now a little more stamina and he averages 20 and 20. :-)

HI all. Just a quick question, but is Hassan liked by his team mates? Little birdies tell me that he is a really difficult guy to get along with, is there any truth to that?

Those rumblings stem from last year when we had Wade, Bosh, Spo, Deng, (& later JJ) trying to shove his ego down and get him to play the role they needed him to, if we had a chance to make the ECF.

From the outside (not having any connections) it looked like they didn't know whether to treat him like a rookie that needed whipping into shape, or like a vet that needed to know his place & fit in. The reality was probably somewhere in the middle, and I think we're seeing that this year with him being handled differently over the off-season and not having the mind-games being played.
