I'll be watching Kostja Mushidi and Alpha Kaba closely. Terrance Ferguson would be nice if he fell.

I'm really starting to love this kid. Can you imagine a Poeltl/Markkanen future front court with Siakam as that 3rd big back-up?

I would look to move JV for a solid 3 and D wing down the line if we somehow end up with this kid.

Thomas Bryant, too, but he'll go in the Top 20.

Kostja Mushidi seems like a great pick, in my opinion. Great size, strong defender, solid finisher, and a nice jumpshot.

In past draft threads, has anyone ever managed to actually name a player Masai has drafted. Given his tendency to go with obscure players, it feels like being named in this thread is a guarantee that the person won't be picked.

- Assistant Coach Jim Todd at halftime on the night of Kobe Bryant's 'magical' 81 points.

I called Siakam about a week before the draft.

Poeltl and Siakam were highly discussed for us in the draft threads last year by a lot of people for much of the season.

Poeltl was discussed a lot as mock drafts had him slotted in our pick. Seemed to be the consensus guy for us. Siakam not so much. I brought his name up once or twice because I was curious why such a productive sophomore wasn't ranked higher, but I didn't know he was old for a sophomore. A couple other guys probably mentioned him, but there was never much discussion about him.

As for previous drafts, Delon was my pick all year due to his ridiculous production as a senior and our need for a young/backup point guard at the time. I expected him to show a little more as a rookie though. I don't think I'd even heard of Norm. lol.
And of course when Bruno was drafted it was the biggest "Who the hell is this guy?" moment in draft history. lol.

I should add that I wouldn't recommend accepting my picks as gold even if I have been fairly accurate lately. I'm pretty mediocre at projecting prospects future success.

Take the time to read the thread.

Someone pissed in this guys cereal.

I read the thread thanks, do I go through every page and re-read everything every time I make a post? No. A simple yes or no would suffice, or better yet, no response. People can have overlap on thoughts no? Heaven forbid someone brings up OG more than once right?

I apologize, the thought of reading this 10 page novel of a thread must have been too much of a nightmare for you to handle. If only you had known that you only had to go back 1 page to find the answer to your question.

Masai needs to explain to Anunoby that he's meant to be a Raptor. He put up another strong game on Sunday and is playing himself into the top 10. Doesn't he know he could play a significant role on a top 5 or 6 playoff team as a rookie?

TJ Leaf is ballin' (hope you got that...). But seriously he's not bad. Tyler Lyndon is also not bad. Lauri is good.

Rabb should've come out last year because there are good PFs out there.

The higher you get picked, the more money you get on your rookie deal

Not to mention a competitive athlete would never sabotage his own self/team lol

An off the radar Masai type of pick is Bonzie Colson from Notre Dame.

He's 6'4" with a 6'11.5" wingspan. In college they play him at PF. He's basically the same size as Charles Barkley (but a lot lighter).

They call him a junkyard dog on the court. He lives for the moment. He's averaging 17/9 on 51% from the field and 50% from 3. His TS% is a gaudy 0.61 and has a PER of 36.0

This kid is the type of pick that puts winning teams over the top. The only reason he's not listed on draft boards is because of his height. But if you can play, you can play for me. He's that guy on your opponent that you just hate, mostly because of his face, but also because he kills your team. He's cocky, he's loud, he's a jerk. And if he's not on your team you'll regret it.

Yeah, I'd say that's the most obvious comparison. But PJ didn't have that jumper coming out of Texas.

Another guy to look out for is ranked 30th in 2017 by DX (somehow), Jawun Evans. Averaging 25 points, 5 assists and 3 steals per game on 50% from the field and 56% from 3.

Obviously, everyone mentioned at this point have inflated stats since they've played less than 10 games. But Evans has star potential. It's actually weird to see him ranked so low. I don't expect him to be available when we pick but as of now he can be in the discussion.

Might be getting undervalued due to point guard being such a strong position in the league. Demetrius Jackson looked like a lotto talent last year and was picked 45 overall. There just aren't many teams that need a point guard right now. Heck, we have as many as 4 guys who all look decent at point guard on the roster.
