A third-tier opponent playing a road back to back, missing one or two of its starters ... good game to put the chokehold on early, then rest our starters in the 4th.

Well at least that's the theory. It often doesn't work that way in reality. But this team, perhaps, might be able to deliver on that.

Also a team coming off of a really bad loss. Either they are starting to spiral or they will bounce back strong.

I expect a win but I don't think it will be easy. We may have had too much rest and come out sluggish. And they have been playing better as of late.

i would hope that this team would be different from years past

as i stated before, my expectations are higher and i expect us to beat the teams we are supposed to. we are supposed to beat this team, and we should.

of course anything can happen, and we never know when the next amir thabo murray speights bombing will happen to us. but i think our attitude is different and we will try to put this team away early get some playing time for our youngsters and get ready for the showdown on friday.

I don't think I've ever seen a team with as much time off in their schedule as the Bulls these last two games.

Wade is questionable after having a fractured tooth extracted yesterday. I find it really hard to believe that he won't play because of that.

It might be a new NBA thing. I chose another team at random (Cleveland), and sure enough it also had a 4-day break in November, between the 18th and 23rd. But yeah, four days off is a lot.

I had to do this a couple weeks ago, and it sucks. If he had to get a dental implant, he's not feeling too good.

That said, Duncan Keith lost like 6 teeth mid game and came back in...buck up Dwayne!

We're a 10pt favorite, so yes this is a game we should win. They've responded well with bouncing back from bad losses during the circus trip, so now this is a different type of test with a damning scenario: back at home, 4 days of rest, opposing team on the 2nd night of a back to back missing a couple key guys, with a huge Cleveland game coming up to boot.

In past years, this is the type of game where we'd play down to the level of competition while looking ahead to the big game, and it'd usually result in a bad blowout loss. But I like what I've been seeing from this team so far... the focus, the determination to show up and play hard every game, their will to put away teams they should beat. Color me cautiously optimistic.
