Perhaps to be typically considered, but that's not the case currently since this draft class has been unprecedentedly awful to this point.
The least amount of minutes a winner has played Mike Miller's 29.1 mpg, however he had played in all 82 games that season. The fewest amount of games played in was Patrick Ewing and Vince Carter, they each played in 50, but played 35 mpg, Kyrie played in 51 while playing 30.5 mpg.
However, consider that nobody else comes close to points, rebounds, blocks, etc. of past winners when considering positional expectations.
Interesting. Thanks for the info. IIRC Carter's rookie season was during the lockout shortened season. If that's the case, then Embiid should definitely win it barring a major setback to his health. Heck, even Simmons might have an outside shot at consideration if he comes back soon enough this season. Not that I'm advocating for him to rush it though.
