A few people actually brought up Siakam in the Thank Nation thread last season.

I mean, if you throw enough **** at the wall, some of it is bound to stick. Someone's guess will end up being right

Not sure whether 25 and 26 is better, or 31 and 32.

Last few years I would have said 31/32, as guaranteed $ at 25/26 is risky.

Now, without checking the new CBA, even though $ at 25/26 is guaranteed,,, the fewer controlled years on 2nd-round picks probably means any successful 2nd-rounder gets his money sooner and maybe for even more.

My guess: Assuming we don't trade both picks, I think the Raptors will draft Jaron Blossomgame. He fits in so many ways

+ Potential LeBron/Melo/etc stopper
+ 23 years old, fits into that "draft mature, NBA ready players" thing the Raptors have going.
+ 7 foot wingspan

He's the most obvious choice as many have previously stated. But I'd prefer Danjel Purifoy at this point. I'm just talking out of my a** but Blossomgame looks he'll be on Shaqtin A Fool many times over his career, I guess it's just his face lol

Lol

Grayson has some issues, the scary thing is he's projected to be drafted in the area of our picks

Masai won't do it :)

I'm glad he's not good enough for me to overlook his attitude issues.

Jaron is only 6'8" and his wingspan is 6'10".
He is also projected to be gone before either Toronto pick comes up

Whoever found that Danjel Purifoy guy big props....He is the perfect pick if he is available...right now hes on no draft boards but that will prolly change soon ...But if he falls to us you have to take him...He has Jimmy Butler potential...If We can somehow come away from the Draft with Purifoy, Blossomgame and drop the Bruno Experiment i think our SF spot would be solid once DMC comes off the books

I only watched the one video of Purifoy and I don't see what everyone else is raving about. Good length and that was about it. Passing was fine as well, but nothing to write home about. I think he's not being talked about much for a reason, but I've been wrong before.
As for Grayson Allen, Masai would never draft a guy who can't do anything other than shoot. We already have potentially two snipers at shooting guard in Ross + Powell and both are better athletes, ball handlers and defenders than Allen.
I continue to say that we should focus on productive college guys, but I should qualify that statement by saying only those with NBA physical attributes ie. size, speed, explosiveness etc.

Check this game highlights (Hes number 3)...he has great size and scoring ability hes also 6 foot 7 and playing SF so Ross/Powell have nothing to worry about once DMC Contract is up This kid has a good chance to be a replacement starter

I'm sold! That turnaround cross step back was nasty :o

He has a really good frame and size, solid shooting form (I think he could def be high 30 - low 40ish % nba 3 shooter). He had a really nice pass in that highlight vid and it seems like he could have vision along with some handles. - I want to see him in the PnR and see if he can be facilitator in that way. At this point, he's a spot up 3 and D guy in the mold of Crowder and not Butler.

He's a bit raw but I think his red-shirt year helped him a lot. He's currently shooting 40.3% from 3 along with, 5.4 REBs, 2.5 ASTs and 1.5 STLs.

DraftExpress currently has him ranked 26th. We are currently selecting 25th and 26th. Seems like he's right in our range to me. I also don't expect his stock to rise with his terrible 3 point shooting this year. I'm actually hoping Masai can find a small forward, or power forward who can shoot, though Blossomgame is still the favorite in my opinion. I'm starting to get a Joey Graham vibe about him though.

One guy we haven't discussed(that I can recall) is Robert Williams. 19 year old freshman power forward for Texas A & M.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Robert-Williams-89995/
Not a perfect fit, but he's a terrific shot blocker for a forward who has a mid-range shot already. He's another guy worth considering if it's believed he can extend his range. Kind of another Skal situation, though not as highly touted.

He currently has a PER of 34.6 which ranks 1st in the DraftExpress mock draft. He's raw, but he's been very effective for a raw, freshman forward.
