Fleck is divorced with shared custody in (I believe) Michigan. He's from Illinois and most of his recruiting connections are in the midwest. So it's no surprise he reportedly only wants to coach in the midwest. That means he'd probably only leave for a B1G job. Most teams in the B1G are set at head coach for at least the next two to three years. This is his best opportunity to make the jump up to a P5, in the midwest, in a winnable division, and the school just so happens to be building brand new facilities. That's why he's interested.

Looks like Minny will probably hire Fleck. Only hang up appears to be the number of years, as he wants more than 5.

Claeys went on the radio today and said he was told he was being retained back in October, so he feels he was fired because of the Tweet.

Yeah, sounds like Fleck will be introduced tomorrow. First time Minnesota has gotten their first choice of a head coach since I went to school there. Usually it's the 4th, 5th, or worse option. I have no idea if he'll be successful in the B1G but I am definitely more interested and excited for next season than I would have been under Claeys.

I wonder how much money he'll be allowed to spend on his staff now that the MN Legislature is getting upset over how much they've spent on fired and bought out coaches:

Sonny Dykes was canned by Cal. Kind of a surprise - I wonder if Chip is on his way to Berkeley?

Probably have read this on other channels but Justin Wilcox's name is being floated out there.

It would be annoying as hell to have to replace our DC again.

Eh, I'm not necessarily certain that Wilcox is the guy, yet. He had a great defense this year, but he did it with a lot of Aranda's guys, and in a couple big games, the defense got shredded in big moments. I wonder whether he's actually good or not.

I really don't think I could have less interest in tonight's game.

Last year's game was pretty good. That's the only reason I'm watching - maybe they'll be close this year?

I'm not sure who I hate more: Dabo or Tricky Nicky.

Really, they couldn't book a more famous anthem singer than that? It's the Super Bowl of College Football.

I know all about Saban. What has Sweeney done that is particularly douchey?

I was mildly pro Clemson headed into the game, but yesterday I found out my wife's a-hole coworker is a Clemson alum and Will be in attendance. Suddenly for Bama.

Lol @ Herb gushing over Hurts. "When he pulls the ball down, he's like a tailback!" Yeah, because he's pretty mediocre at QB. 13 for 31 for 131 tonight.
