Hawks Trying To Trade Tim Hardaway Jr. For 2nd Round Picks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jan 6, 2017 9:33 pm

The Atlanta Hawks traded their first round pick which became Jerian Grant in 2015 to the New York Knicks for Tim Hardaway Jr.

A season and a half later, the Hawks are interested in trading Hardaway before he hits restricted free agency this summer.

"They're already shopping Tim Hardaway for second round picks because they don't want to pay him," said Lowe.

Hardaway is averaging 11.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 21.9 minutes per game this season for the Hawks.

The Hawks have already traded Kyle Korver and they're now also shopping Paul Millsap.

Send him back to NY. They need the bench help.

Send him to San Antonio for Kyle Anderson. Could use some consistent 3 point shooters.

The Hawks are in first place and they are selling? That says a lot about the state of the NBA. If you're not one of the 8 or 10 best teams - sell, plan for next year. It's kinda silly.

Yeah and eventually if the Nix get him, they're going to want to trade him again.

So they are blowing up the team, when in reality they should have done this last season? This better work if they looking for a top 10 pick in this years draft.

Looking at his "advanced" stats, particularly scoring inside the arc and defense, THII may be a better two guard than KCP who is getting a lot of props this season.

Funny thing is Tim Hardaway played at Michigan, while KCP played at Georgia. Both are free agents. KCP might want him back in Atlanta, while THII could replace him in Detroit.
