Simply did not want to play today. 4 minutes in lazy passes dumb fouls. No effort on defense. Very disappointing.

First time I've got to sit and watch him. What a embarrassing game for NC State.

50 points beat down. Can't all be DSJ's fault right?

Besides 3 fouls in 10 minutes including 2 bs ones.

Not all but he didn't look like he wanted to be out there either which didn't help.

Not all his fault but he definitely takes a huge portion of the blame. This team goes as he goes, its very simple. If DSJ is off to a slow start NCST tends to get off to a slow start, if you look away and come back and see that NCST went on this big run, its a good bet DSJ was in the middle of it.

Today from the start it looked like he just didnt really care and didnt want to play. With him seemingly having that type of attitude it seemed like the rest of the team just followed suit and didnt care. Im sure UNC has more competitive practices than what we saw today. That wasnt just damn UNC is a lot better than state, that was state just didnt come to play and DSJ should take a ton of blame for that.

one game does not define you. In only 26 minutes he still had 11-5-5-3 so he was active. But his team blows, UNC is much better, early fouls took him out of the game and you end up with a sad game overall. Not a good look. There's still plenty of time to come back from this. I think all the #1 talk can die down for awhile though, thankfully

NC State doesn't suck. They just had a bad game and it snowballed. It happens.

Horrible game by DSJ. Horrible game by NC State. But it's ok, he'll bounce back. He'll have time to build momentum for Duke

They lost ugly vs MIA too. They had an easy 1st half, their schedule gets brutal from here out. We'll see. I'm not sure there will be more than 7 teams from the ACC to make the tournament and NC State will be on the bubble and in my book, if you don't make the NCAA tournament you suck.

NC State with another loss and Smith not impressing. I"m guessing we won't hear him being thrown around as #1 anymore

Was at the game. Didn't seem all that impressive to me. Late in the game with his team down 7 or 8, he was content just giving the ball off to other players. Not really what I'd be looking for with a #1 overall pick, especially when the supporting cast isn't playing well. Would have liked to seem him take control of the game.

Some positives, he did look explosive with a few of his takes. Great ball handling as well.

I think he regrets not going to a big time school where he would be on a bigger stage. When the dude comes to play he really comes to play.

they suck. Might be worse than even I thought. Losing to mediocre teams now.

He projects as the best shooter between him, Fultz and Ball for me cause of better FT. When added to his athleticism I don't have a problem with someone preferring him the most. But he won't go 1st cause of team success probably

He would have been a monster with this current UNC team playing next to Berry, who is mainly a shooter, and Justin Jackson, with guys like Hicks and Bradley rolling inside, and the pieces to go small, or supersmall, even with Pinson at C, at times, could you imagine?
