Melton is a nice transition player who can defend but he is a non-shooter who is incredibly limited in the halfcourt. Not that 7/17 (4/8 3pt) is inefficient but have to do more than read box scores.

First of all, 7 for 17 is inefficient, not sure why you cite 4/8 from 3 to try and make an invalid point. Scoring 20 points on 17 shots is not good in any universe. And secondly, there's a reason I asked who was defending Fultz. Maybe you should have read my question as a question, instead of assuming I just read box scores.

Did you watch the game? He was efficient before his team folded like a cheap tent and he was forced to take some tough/contested shots at the end of the game to bring them back.

O..M..G.. I clearly said that I didn't watch this specific game at least twice now, which was why I was asking if they matched up against one another. And 7 for 17 is inefficient no matter what. If Fultz is so great he should be setting guys up with quality looks instead of jacking up contested shots.

All they're saying is watching the game would have given you the context you are asking for. Not just seeing his stat line.

And all I'm saying is I stated that I didn't watch the game in my original post which is why I was asking about the match-up.

So then you have no place talking about how he performed. You can't determine if someone played well or not if you didn't watch. If you're gonna criticize the guy, do it in a game you actually watched.

Not on national tv.
That's a national travesty

Meanwhile, if fultz is so good, why is Washington 9-13!!!
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Bro they told you what happened and you still attacked the performance without actually watching it. Sounds agenda based.

I attacked the performance my stating the fact that 7 for 17 shooting is bad? Is it not? Whether or not he had to jack shots up late doesn't change the fact that a great player should still be able to set their teammates up within the offense. The only time it's necessary to shoot bad shots is late in the clock. Other than that I see no other reason to force anything. I could have lived with people saying he had an off night shooting but instead it sounds like his fans are just making excuses. Then again, what should I expect when posting in a thread focused on him. At the end of the day I just wanted a breakdown of Fultz and Melton which Draftexpress provided a day or two ago. No agenda, no fanboys, just facts.

It is time that we ding Fultz for being on a 9-13 college team. The #1 pick should be carry to single handily carry games. Despite his gaudy stats, the results are simply not there.

It is not as if Washington has played a super difficult schedule. Their SOS is in the realm of ~90+ based on Kenpom.

Honestly, if your the best kid in your draft your team should be doing better....

Pac 12 is good, but It's not the SEC of college basketball.

On a side note, why did a kid from Maryland go to a school in Washington? Why didnt he stay instate and go to Maryland or Georgetown? Dafuq he go all the way to UW

Romar was his first high major offer when he was an unranked kid.

And are you watching the game? Not sure how Fultz can make his teammates finish plays but I'm sure some GM is hoping others are thinking along the same line of logic.

Not going to feel sorry for Porter Jr next year either.

IDK about his teammates, but most people say ROMAR is the worst coach in div 1 basketball...

I know a few of them are 4 star recruits... Similar to what Ben Simmons got at LSU

another sloppy chucker game from Fultz. He's lucky he went on a mini hot streak from three or else it would have been really embarrassing. Ball stripped him, blocked his shot, and forced a few TO while defending him. Ball outproduced him until Fultz overtook him with points when down 40 and trying to pad his stats. It took 8 more shots and Ball to sit in order to do it. It was a predictable performance that will have his fanboys bragging about empty stats he got once the game was out of hand against backups. He was not able to get to the rim against Ball. That relegated him to contested threes which he made a few of otherwise it was looking pretty ugly for him. Ball really does look like the better player and prospect. Teams would be stupid to take Fultz over Ball. I'm actually surprised he played as poorly as he did. It was eye opening. I wouldn't be surprised if he really hurt his draft stock tonight
