And I thought I was the only one this morning that wanted to try to trade for Jabari Parker. Considering Jabari injured his same area for the 2nd time, his future is up in the air if he'll be able to recover and stay healthy. We shouldn't have to offer Ibaka for Jabari, we should have to give up barely anything for Jabari. Jabari is worth the risk for us, he's still only 21 and still in his rookie contract so he don't make much above the league minimum.
The Bucks have him locked into a rookie scale contract for two more years and then own matching rights when he hits free agency... and you think they are ready to give up on him for "barely anything"?
Maybe just maybe, Because he injured his same area for the 2nd time, maybe the Bucks should get out from him if they are fine with what they get back. Maybe we offer the Bucks Ibaka if we reach the trade deadline day, But on February 9th its still almost 2 full weeks left and we should offer other teams very little and ask for a player/draft pick we want back.
Get out from what? His contract is basically nothing. It's a rookie deal. This isn't an often injured, maxed out Derrick Rose. We haven't reached that point yet.
He shows all-star potential yet his trade value is at an all time low at this moment. Why in the world would they trade him for "barely anything"?
You will not get Jabari Parker for scraps. Move on.
