I'd be surprised if we didn't draft a SF unless we get no.1 pick for Fultz.
Last year we showed we pick for need if the prospects are similar level.

As i wrote earlier on Bledsoe thread, our FO has to have specific plan - are we sold on Bled and envision him as our future PG capable of making us a contender in foreseeable future (which ofc. includes offering him a second/last contract with us), or we consider him a placeholder for our future (star) PG that comes from this draft.
I was advocating keep Bled AND draft Fultz/Ball/Smith approach, but he is just too good (and apparently will be for quite some time if injuries don't strike again) to be just a 1/1.5 year mentor to one of the mentioned. Not to mention the odds that he'll (a guy in his prime, posting multiple 40+ pt games) take such process as easy and professional as Dudley, who apart from his nice personality and unselfishness nears the very end of his career.
Bledsoe's value will be at its height this summer barring injuries. If they wait a year, especially of they draft a pg, it will decline. He will then only have a year left on his deal. The real question would be "Who would REALLY want Bledsoe AND would have the assets that we would want in return?"
I would want a solid front line player--yes, star level or potentially so, or some potentially good unprotected picks.
Not to derail the draft thread with bledsoe talk but i think denver, Sacramento, and the knicks could all have interest in him this summer and have packages that could get it done.

I've been wondering about this too.
Hypothetically, everyone finishes where they are right now and the Kings get the 8th pick overall. Sixers are at 4th overall so they don't swap. Suns draft Ball at 2.
Bledsoe to SAC for 8th overall and ?
If Fultz, Ball, Jackson, Smith, Issac, Fox, and Monk are off the board would Tatum, Ntilikina, Giles, Rabbit, or Markkanen be worth the trade?

The more I think about it, the more I'm intrigued by a Josh Jackson - Dragan Bender - Marquese Chriss front court.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Re: Early look at 2017 draft & college basketball
Robert Williams moving up the charts... up to #7 on NBADraft.net above Tatum, Giles, Lauri, Leaf and Rabb. I still want one of the "franchise" guards - Fultz, Ball or Smith - but call me intrigued...
http://www.nbadraft.net/players/robert-williams
NBA Comparison: Antonio McDyess/Shawn Kemp
Strengths: Huge upside ... Has tremendous physical attributes with elite level length (7-foot-5.5 wingspan) and high level run/jump athleticism ... Shows excellent rebounding ability, utilizing his length for rebounds ... A dominant shot blocker showing the timing and aggressiveness to be a rim protector (2.5 blocks per game in 24 mpg) ... Offensive game has a lot of promise as he shows the ability to legitimately create offense for himself at an early stage ...

He's an interesting prospect, but I see a lot more project than product right now. While he's extremely explosive, I question his mobility a little bit with how he kind of lumbers around. He has shown some flashes of an offensive game, but right now he is more of a cleanup man/pick-and-roll threat that doesn't have a consistent, significantly impact that end on his own. He's definitely a rim protector though, averaging 4.1 blocks per 40 on an insane 11.1 BLK% is very impressive. I might be interested in him if we got another mid-late lottery pick, but definitely not where we're at right now.

A&M playing Florida on ESPN 2 right now. He can definitely jump. If we get a second high pick he might push another player we're interested in down.

Bam Adebajo couldn't be sculpted any better if he were created in a lab. His shooting form isn't terrible either.

100% agree. I think of this Kentucky team he has the best chance to be a great pro. With some work he will be able to hit a 10-12 foot jumper with consistency and with his length and quickness could guard positions 2-4 with some work.

I want Jackson on the Suns. There are so many PGs in the league, we'll get one later

Jackson doing it all on offense right now: hitting the 3, step back jump shot, getting to the rim, setting up teammates, getting out in transition. 13 points on 6/7 from the field and 1/2 from 3 with 7 rebounds and 2 assists in the first half.

Jackson with 13/7/2 at halftime with 6/7 shooting. Great motor, good handle, he'd be a great addition to our front court.

There are SOOO many guards in the league and Bledsoe is really good. But I think that Fultz, Ball, Smith are next level "franchise" guys. Perennial All-Stars. If one of these guys is available to us in the draft, we take them all day every day. My opinion.

Very similar to young Dwight Howard. Same height as Dwight but 3.5" less wingspan and standing reach. Dwight was 6'10 240 coming in while Bam is 6'10" 258 as a freshman.
We'll see the official measurements in a few months.

Josh Jackson is just as likely as those guys to be a perennial All Star. He's got the same winning intangibles that everyone raves about Ball having, is more athletic than any of them, plays better defense than any of them, and is as skilled as any of them. He's not widely considered a top prospect for no reason.
