Rebel,

I hope you are right on multiple Nurk offers. I also hope FO is not stupid enough to trade for veterans. If they do it will most likely fail.
Under no circumstances should they get sucked into trades for Milsap or Ibaka or such. If anything they should trade to get younger.
I would trade Chandler and Nelson to Toronto for Ross and Joseph. I would look to get someone like Jaylen Brown from Boston for Gallo, Keep those first round draft picks. Not all these kids will turn out to be perfect but it is the only way we can find future stars.
Jokic is a miracle but even he is not really ready to carry a team. He needs a couple of years, Murry will emerge in my view. If we can find another piece or two this team will be a dream for years to come.
Nuggets must keep their powder dry, keep their cap room in place. They should operate as if they will have to make numerous long term max contracts. They must be patient.

Aww, come on, Malone needs more veterans so he won't have to play Mudiay, Murray, Hernangomez, Beasley and this year's first round picks.

Hey I agree with you, and have said as much many times, but I am also telling you what the media seems to be talking about with rumors about the Nuggets. I have also said that unless the guy is a young guy who is a perfect fit next to Jokic and Murray than there is no way to stop building as they have been. I would gladly take a great team for 5-10 years over a treadmill team just trying to get in the playoffs every year. I think we have a chance to contend if Jokic and Murray continue to develop into what it appears they will be, but I fear that management would much rather make the playoffs and sell more tickets than they are worried about next year even.

I have no doubt you like Nurkic. I like Nurkic. Your coach does not like Nurkic. :banghead:

Olynyk is averaging more points, points, 3's, assists and steals and fewer turnovers. Kelly had 9/8/2 and a block in the Celtics last game. Nurkic on the other hand has a 98.6 (degree bench under his butt). Who is over rating whom?

Olynyk is the type of floor spacer Jokic needs playing next to him. If you prefer a first round pick you would have to wait for the Memphis or Clippers pick the Celtics are owed. Or one of the Celtics own.

Well, here's the deal with BOS. KO may be a decent player but he is a RFA next year. Ainge wants to keep cap flexibility to try for a big FA, so why pay for something we can just bid on in free agency and let Ainge squirm over whether KO is too good to pass on for the hope of a bigger FA ?? IF Denver wants him, I'd rather just go that way. Guess same could be said for Zeller too, right ?

Now if the offer was the MIN 2nd and the MEM 1st we can talk, probable too good for DEN to pass on.

And I really don't know why you'd want Nurkic, you have the god-like Zizic coming over next year, so Nurkic would just become a backup and a probable distraction to the C's because he wants to start.

Olynyk doesn't have much value. He's too slow to guard a 4, too weak to be a good defender at the 5. He's smooth, but what else? Look, we have a player who does what Olynyk does at a higher level- Arthur, who is shooting the three ball well.

And olynyk is an upcoming RFA, so really, he has little value.

I'd trade nurkic for the memphis pick boston owns.

Far from it, he's more like Valanciunas type, inside banger, good rebounder , not a transcendent type of talent.

Ok. Nurkic for the Memphis pick. Get it done. Nice doing business with you.

Actually more adequate comparison is Nikola Pekovic light, since both players strictly operate inside the paint, Zizic is physically less powerful player, but they are same height 6'11 , while their post up game is simple, its effective, Zizic is better shot blocker though . I don't know how Zizic's game is going to translate against NBA competition , he should be a at least good role player for Celtics , but he's not Jokic, KAT, Embid, Porzingis , skill wise , those players are so called unicorns :) Actually, I prefer Ivica Zubac , Zizic's countryman over him, I am really high on that kid

LOL, you guys had to attach a 1st just to get rid of him... guys in here asking for brooklyn picks and saying "what is a young big with all-star potential worth?" You had to trade away a 1st and him for Plumlee... ouch.

Reality hurts...

Try telling that to BOS fans, they tell me he's untradeable short of a lottery pick or Jokic-'type of player

NBA scouts and GMs also think Zizic is lottery pick value.

The prize of the group so far has been 20-year-old center Ante Zizic, who began the season playing for Cibona Zagreb in Croatia, where he starred, but moved on to play for Darussafaka in Turkey, a step up in competition level. It was assumed that Zizic would play a limited role for his new team—headed by former Cavs coach David Blatt—but he has already made an impact, and has gotten minutes as a starter. In a game a week ago, he had 16 points and 18 rebounds.

“He has been someone who has sort of caught everyone’s eye here,” said one international scout. “He was supposed to be a long-term project, but he has come out and shown a lot of improvement since he was drafted. He has the usual things he needs to do, like (improving) his jump shot, like getting bigger, adding some muscle. But he is very athletic for his size (6-11, 255), he runs the floor so well, he is tough, he holds his own against older guys and he has good hands and footwork inside. He’s come a long way, defensively, too.”

The general manager speculated that if Zizic had not come out last season, when the Celtics got him with the 23rd pick, “he would almost certainly be a lottery pick in this draft, maybe Top 10, even though this is a deeper draft than last year. He would be better than a draft pick, really, because you can see what you’re getting.”

Screw NBA scouts, he has to prove that he can bang inside in the NBA, because that's his game.

apparently other fans overvalue their players as well. I guess it's not just a Boston thing after all.

All right guys, let's not completely validate every negative opinion Denver fans have about us?

The debate's been settled, some folks have some crow to eat. On to the next great debate.
