Shabazz is a scorer and that's it. I'd never trade O'Quinn for him

Kyler seems like a dunce... With that being said Noah is probably not being traded any time soon

No doubt then - just resign JHolla. No need to make that trade.

The only way Noah is traded is if we get even a worse contract than his. Maybe a two for one deal where we get two outrageous contracts. Say Mahinmi plus Jason Smith for Noah.

is this KOQ for Shabazz talk a legit option or are we just saying trades we would like to see?

I wouldn't do that trade, I think KOQ will have a better impact on this team.

Now if we actually do move Melo to a team he wants, I wouldnt mind doing this trade and have Shabazz be the starting SF.

No i made it up.

If we move Melo in the offseason and have a ton of space, Shabbaz might be a good player for us to pick up.

This might be an option if the Knicks decide they don't want to fully rebuild.

Not sure that's the right move for next year

God help my heart if Knicks push KP/Willy to back burner at the expense of Melo/Wade fairy tale next year.

We shouldn't touch him -- just another horrible defender.

Just think --- why would Minny give up on a big, young, talented wing player like that?

It's happening. We're going to trade Lee, a better fit on a decent contract, to sign Wade to a 4 year huge deal. Just like we did with RoLo and Noah

Not a bad instant offense type of guy off the bench.

I think we can somehow get the money to pay for the following line up
Noah
KP
Melo
Wade
Paul

I think it will go about as well as the Nets KG-Pierce trade, but I think it's possible.

What is everyone's thoughts on how to build the best team around KP? Not necessarily even specific players, but types of players.

As to Wade...Lol, nothing would shock me.

Haven't given up my hope for Rubio. Nothing fancy but simple reads and more importantly, quick reads of the PnR. Even being able to make a seamless entry pass is like a huge deal for our PGs.

Thomas, Jennings, Lee for Wade, sign CP3 in off season. LBJ begs his way out of CLE to join the banana boat crew. (greenest font possible)

If this is accurate, and we can't move Melo, only 2 guys you consider moving are Rose and Jennings (only is the plan is to let him walk). Maybe Lee out of respect to give him a shot on a competitor, otherwise, I'd want to keep him.

Rubio and Willie in P&R's would almost be unfair, and that is this year. With another year under WillieB's belt, could be scary.

WillieB would actually be the larger beneficiary of getting Rubio, but just the fact that Rubio can see the entire floor when he drives and hits guys on the perimeter, would be big for KP this year.

Maybe next year, or the year after as KP gets more adept around the basket and in the P&R, or establishes a Dirk like post game with any sort of consistency, then Rubio would help him as much as Willie THIS year. But in general, he'd be a big, huge, plus for both of them.

Just thinking out loud in the trade zone here.

I find it hard to believe, that either to a contender who needs a scoring guard off the bench, or a team that wants to move a guy who is hitting their cap at, say, 15 million+ a year for 2 years after this one, that either of teams wouldn't move a #1 pick for Rose, as long as it projects mid first round or lower.

Meaning, say a playoff team needs some scoring punch off the bench. Knicks take back contracts of any length now more than 3 (one guy, 3 guys, whatever) and take a #1 in the 25-30 range.

On the other hand, a more borderline or even "out of the playoffs" team could take Rose just to move 15+ million owed a guy for 2\3 years after this. That's got to be worth a mid first rounder to someone. Possibly a team that has an extra pick but would move a sort of bad contract.

Knicks aren't going to be all that good for this year +2 more, if they are going to take on some salary, it should be for picks, but not past that window.
