For a rental (Ibaka) he was untouchable, but not as an absolute. He's one of our best trade assets without reaching into the core.

Don't know why people can't understand that Ainge is not trading meaningful assets for a 25 game rental. Really not that hard of a concept

Oh I don't deal him for Ibaka. That's fine. But the fact the report more or less alluded to the fact Rozier is untouchable is scary. He's honestly nothing special. Especially since the Celtics should end up with either Fultz or Ball. How many PGs do you need?

Rozier is very touchable for the right player. I think we all know that.

Pro-tip: Don't listen to what the media says. The media says whatever message the Celtics want them to say.

So apparently Robin Lopez is on the block.

Celtics should make something happen with that. Literally perfect fit for us.

EDIT: Meant Robin, not Brook.

He doesn't rebound or protect the rim. He's also not a superstar. How is that literally a perfect fit?

He's a worse rebounder than Horford and costs 20 million dollars. Let him rot in Brooklyn

John Gonzalez @_JohnGonz

League source said Jahlil Okafor is with the Sixers in Boston for tomorrow night’s Celtics game. Reunited and it feels so good...

LOL!!! There is no market for Okafor.

They just need to turn Zeller and a couple of non-Brooklyn picks into a rebounder. I'm really not interested in anything more extensive than that. This team is playing well, meshing well, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

HIs 7.0 rpg he had last year when healthy would be good enough to lead our team right now so.....

There are a lot of ways to measure rebounding that ain't it.

Stop saying "touchable," you guys. I'm oddly aroused and violated at the same time.

I literally contribute nothing to this thread.

I'm thinking Danny didn't want to include Rozier for Ibaka because he's saving him for a potential Butler deal.

I think TOR offered double what anyone was even willing to discuss and ORL jumped. It happens. Reports on the talks were just that, TOR needed to make a move to keep Lowry and DeRozan happy and decided go early and go big and gave a take it or leave it offer.

I don't think it was up to Ainge.

I dunno. That may have been the best contribution to this thread in several pages.

I doubt if Ainge had any serious interest in Ibaka. The Raptors are desperate (they lost again tonight to Chicago in a game that was never really close); the Celtics are not. They've won 9 out of 10 without Avery Bradley.

Just remember what I said before, Danny is not going to **** with the "building two teams" policy and leverage the young guys for a short term gain. If he sends out a promising young player or pick it's gonna be for a huge impact player, not the likes of ibaka

Any inside word on this, or just your opinion?

I don't see us trading young guys for Ibaka-ish vets - who are going to be there in free agency. But I do see us trading young guys for young guys, or trading away Bradley or Crowder to get positional help or young players/picks..
