My criticism stands with Danny Ainge constantly overlooking the rebounding issue this team has. The lack of emphasis he puts on having a quality big man on the team to protect the paint

Must be why he's never had interest in Kevin Love then. Oh wait, he's a shooter which you take some sort of issue with even though it's a really helpful skill and a necessity in this era.

We're not a finished product and Ainge isn't going to spend real assets to add one-dimensional players. Ainge knew that rebounding would be an issue so it's not like he's got blind spots. We're good anyways and specialists would make us worse overall or cost too much. If we were trying to definitively win the title this year, that'd be a point to criticize, but Danny has the bigger picture in mind. Just sits wrong with me to criticize something and not offer actual players/scenarios that should have been pursued. Dedmon's maybe the only one I've got. We actually brought a rebounder in. Anyone want David Lee back?

What do you think of Zizic? Is he a big time center? Maybe Steven Adams quality at least rebounding and defense wise? I don't think we should make a trade for a guy like Nikola Vucevic with Zizic in the wings on a rookie deal.

IDK about.
We're going to need Rebounding and so forth, for 48 mins. Vucević has 2 more years. He'll be ending about the time that we can get a good look at our Brooklyn 2018 pick.

2017-18 Proposed Roster:
Thomas / Fultz / Jackson
Bradley / Smart / Rozier / Rookie = Two-Way Contract
Crowder / Brown / Nader
Horford /Jerebko / Yabusele
Vučević / Žižić -- / Olynyk / Mickey = Two-Way Contract

horrible trade for Boston. Common Man!

Crowder for Noel then. Ab is more valuable to this team than Jae, especially come playoffs.

Jae's contract alone is so damn valuable in today's NBA marketplace. for that reason alone I would never trade him for anything less then as part of a larger package for a star. With players getting 15-25 million like it's candy, having Crowder locked into a team friendly deal for the foreseeable future enables Danny to spend in other areas. same can be said with ab and IT, but those guys are up for contracts summer of 18.

Get Andre Drummond! Make it happen Danny! If Demarcus is not happening I'm all in for Drummy

So who do we think fits the bill as a scorer off the bench that could be considered available? Lou Williams... Anyone else?

Detroit might ask for Rozier to which Danny has to hang up the phone

Only if Detroit gives us some more value other than Drummond

Why? Guards we have a plethora of. Bigs we desperately need. Its a perfect fit.

and.... and..... we are very likely drafting another high pick guard in the draft.

I expect Drummond to be part of a package. Nonetheless, he would help us tremendously on the glass.

Rozier has an extremely high amount of value, can't give him up unless we're getting a superstar back

I know we tend to overvalue our own players since we love them and all, but thats an absurd statement. He's not THAT good (and I really like the kid and his game).

https://theringer.com/pressing-eastern-conference-questions-36897397d17#.osnoaolre

Except it’s not so transparent. It’s not even trade scenarios. It’s a trade scenario that involves the Pelicans. Nothing has really changed since nine days ago when The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the Pelicans were “engaged on several fronts to land a center,” including Okafor. Woj reported the Pelicans want to include a large salary (likely Alexis Ajinca), but the Sixers don’t want to take that on, which a source confirmed to me. Those negotiations are stuck in gridlock. The shelving of Okafor was likely meant to flush out the best offers around the league, sources speculate. It’s not uncommon for teams to use leaks to stir interest. The Nuggets and Blazers weren’t pursuing Okafor. The Bulls likely aren’t either. No one is buying what Bryan Colangelo is selling: a one-dimensional center who can’t defend, rebound, or pass on a roster loaded with big men.

Remember when they wanted Smart and a Pick?

Celtics In: Gordan Hayward; Carmelo Anthony
Celtics Out: Avery Bradley; Amir Johnson; Tyler Zeller; Jonas Jerebko; Terry Rozier; Celtics' first round pick (2018); 2 second-round picks (Clips/Wolves 2017)

Jazz In: Avery Bradley; Jonas Jerebko; Terry Rozier; 2017 second round pick (Clips)
Jazz Out: Gordan Hayward

Knicks In: Amir Johnson; Tyler Zeller; 2018 first round pick (Celtics); 2017 second round pick (Wolves)
Knicks Out: Carmelo Anthony

Works on the trade machine.

Why for Celtics: Just trade for Hayward now and use next year's cap-space victims (Amir, Zeller) on Carmelo Anthony. Because I don't see any of the premier 2017 free agents leaving their teams (Blake, Durant, etc.). Compete for a title now with the vets IT, Hayward, Crowder, Melo, and Horford. At the same time, keep the Nets picks and keep developing that second, "young team" with Smart, Brown, and (hopefully) Zizic.

Why for Jazz: They are smart and, as shown in their Deron Williams deal a few years ago, they won't want to lose Hayward for nothing (and they will lose him, I think). So, they make the trade to get an up and coming two-way guard in Bradley and a prospect point guard in Rozier. Jerebko for salary purposes and a 2nd round pick as sweetener.

Why for Knicks: Phil gets out from under the Melo-drama - they cut all his salary next year when Amir and Zeller can come off the books. They get two draft picks to bring in more youngsters to build around Porzingis.

Depends on price.

Big problem with Drummond is that he can't be in game last 2 minutes. It's a problem.
