Last time Isaiah did this we signed Horford.
IT'S TYSON CHANDLER TIME
If we get PG or Butler, I'm all for a deal involving Tucker and Chandler from PHX.

My guess is not Butler but Paul George
If only. Guy basically already said he wasn't coming back to Indiana when his deal expires. Make it happen, Larry. If you're gonna take a loss, give your old team the win.

So last time he did this we signed a role player to 30 million a year for 4 years, and this time we're about to give away our future to lose in 7 to Lebron for the next 3 years? In that case I'm hoping for as little social media activity from IT as possible going forward.
I think you're lost. You accidentally clicked the Celtics forum. The Knicks forum is a couple clicks below.
Alright, buddy. Didn't know you were an authority figure among Celtic fans. I'm sorry I have a differing belief on the direction of this franchise than you. I should've known better than to oppose such a knowledgeable, highly respected figure such as yourself.

I mean. Yeah, he's pretty well respected on this board. Just saying.

If you consider Horford a role player then I don't know what to reasonably tell you
Well what is he? An all star? Funny, I didn't see him last night. He's averaging 14/6/5. Those are objectively role player numbers.

Can you imagine if we got PG and end up winning a title? All we'd hear from the other jealous fan bases is that Ainge was "gifted" another title by an ex-teammate. Regardless of what we give up. I can hear it now....

If you think Horford is a role player then you clearly had a different opinion of what Al Horford was bringing to Boston.
He has been a role player this season. He has not consistently played like an all star all year.

Oh, okay then. I'll keep that in mind next time I dare to disagree with him.

True but he's playing mostly like he has in the past. He's a positive for IT that's for damn sure

Yes an all star. And do you actually watch the games or just read the box scores? The offense runs immeasurably better with Horford on the floor

I would hope our offense is better with one of our best offensive players on the floor. That does not make him an all star. He also hasn't been good defensively, and is mediocre on the glass. He was not even considered for the all star game this year, and there was no objection or pushback from anyone for leaving him off, even after Love went out. But I guess everyone else just doesn't watch the games like you do.

IMO, I think he's just reacting to the report that suggested he was partially responsible for the Cs not trading for Cousins.
Maybe two separate deals forthcoming ...or two players coming through 3/4-team deal

I know it would happen but it's really not a rational argument unless Danny stole him with a package of Brown, Rozier and Bradley. No Nets picks.

Re: The (Quintessential) Trade Thread, 2017 (Part 5.0)
How I'm reading it is an agent or a source close to Ainge within the organization texted him something along the lines of "talks heating up, u may need to make room for (insert player here)." And he dropped the eyes. Doesn't mean he's trolling and it doesn't mean anything will happen.
