nope not this year, though his numbers are are a about the same as last year when he was an all-star. he is average 14 points and 14 boards and 1.2 blocks. He is 23 years old and locked up on a long term deal (3 more years plus a PO) that will be far below max money over the next few years.

one could certainly argue that he is worth a Nets picks...but could also argue that would be a bad investment.
but is he a dinosaur in the league now. No floor spacing at all, under 50% from the line.

seems like he could fit well in our rotation with guys like Horford and Olynyk that do spread the floor and could use the rebounding.

I would agree at this point, giving up a Nets pick is a risky move for him.

Only 3 Top five selected bigs from 2010-2015 have made all star: Towns, Cousins, Davis, so it's a slim shot that the BKN 18 will garner an all star big. Not a big deal that he's not an all star, as no centers made it this year in the East. The league has gone small.

Right it would suck to get a Porzingis or Embiid.

It's possible we'd be worse this year with Drummond, offensively. Maybe worse defensively as he learns our system. But it's the 25, 26 year old Drummond who could be a monster, especially learning from Horford.

Get Fultz in the draft, trade Bradley to MIN and take Tatum, you're set for a decade.

6 drafts x top 5 picks = 30 picks. 3 turned out to be all stars so far. That's 10%. I don't like 10% odds.

ESPN should just have this thread flowing along a sidebar. It is moving fast enough :)

So if they draft another Porzingis or Embiid you'd be disappointed?

No, but I'd rather take an established player than a 10% chance at getting a Porzingis or Embiid.

Another crazy thing about Drummond is how quick of hands he has. He leads the league in steals over the last like 2 months avg 1.7 on the season.

One thing I've learned about the trade deadline/offseason, I need to know exactly who is following who and any other relative social media info: profile picture, bio, background, etc.

But they haven't made an all star team yet, so they must stink right? I mean surely you'd rather have all star Carmelo Anthony over Porzingis right?

Jaylen was supposed to be an All-Star already?

This is worse than you thinking that trading a larger expiring contract like Amir over Tyreke provides a team with more cap room.

We can't draft based on who ends up panning out later. Doesn't work that way. Not trading a pick now doesn't mean we're going to nail it later.

its like these panelists wanted so badly to talk bout the eyeball retweets but they couldnt, just a subtle jab at the end "be careful what you read on twitter, and retweets"

Personally given all the hype, I'm surprised Ben Simmons wasn't voted an all star this season.

But then wouldn't it be higher than 10% if you included Porzingis and Embiid as all stars?

Oh I think I would be inclined to deal the BRK 18 if nothing else comes of it for him. My only fear with him is that he cannot shoot free throws so all that really needs to happen is Hack-A-Shaq and send him to the line. Plus he can't shoot 3's.
