Cousins is alleged to have punched Powell in the face after Powell had come to help Besiso, and Barnes is alleged to have elbowed Besiso in the face, knocking her unconscious. The suit also alleges that Barnes and Cousins took Powell to the ground and began punching him "in the head, torso and lower body."

I *still* think Jordan ruined Kwame. Poor kid was oozing talent in summer league (he had a great first step for his size and a face-up came from the elbow), but Jordan wanted to have his Vanity Retirement Tour. Instead of nurturing Kwame like an immature-but-promising talent, Jordan crushed him. Called him a "flaming f****t," according to many reports. And Doug Collins did nothing to stop it -- Jordan was the owner and his boss, after all.

I can't speak to what Cousins did to Stauskas, but I wonder what Kwame's career would've been like if his boyhood idol didn't verbally castrate him in practice day after day.

you know, I've got a much simpler solution for them: just quit making asinine decisions.

Quit ****ing up in such royally obviously amateur-hour ways, and all of a sudden people MIGHT just stop laughing at you. Maybe. You've got years of mockery stacked against you at this point. But at the very least you could quit adding to the stack. Its terrible.

These two things can be true. A player who is "ruined" by something like this was not going to be good anyways. He was there for one season and he's been in Philly for 1.5 seasons now. DeMarcus' treatment of him as a rookie is not what has determined the player he is now.

Then in addition it doesn't mean that excessive mean spirited treatment or "bullying" is a good or acceptable thing. Teasing and such can be fine, but obviously there's a point where it can be taken too far. If that was the case, then that's not good, but I'd wonder what the veterans on the team were doing (who was there even?).

I don't know how credible the story in the OP is, but Boogie did reportedly punch a different teammate in the locker room once:

DeMarcus Cousins was pulled off the Kings' team plane to Phoenix and suspended for the team's Sunday game against the Suns, reports FanHouse's Sam Amick, because of an altercation between Cousins and Donte Greene in the locker room following Saturday night's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Cousins was angry Greene inbounded the ball to Tyreke Evans on the Kings' final possession with Sacramento down two. Cousins thought he was open, and Evans missed a three-pointer that would have won the game. Cousins started chirping at Evans and Greene as they all left the floor; in the locker room, words allegedly turned into fists.
