Jan is setting a record for wildly off target shots in one game. I think that's #3.

Perbet has made a name for himself scoring such scrappy goals.

Re: 2016–17 UEFA Europa League
Eric Dier has been absolutely horrible this season, probably because Wanyama has ousted him at DM and he's been exposed as the mediocre-to-bad CB he is.

When things aren't going Spurs' way, they become a rather dirty team.

As a CB he's very raw. Has all the intangibles, but has rather bad concentration for a position that is 70% thinking/anticipation. I think he can be quite good in a 3 CB setup, but his best position really is as a 6 and there's just no way he displaces Wanyama there.

tbf Chelsea deserved it, Costa and co are a bunch of wind-up merchants
Losing your bottle against a pub team is inexcusable, though. It's funny because the performance overall was actually quite good, but a lousy own goal and Alli's ridiculous leg-breaker challenge cost us.

What a comeback by us and oveall deserved for us given that we've been the better team in both games.

When will Pochettino start to actually win trophies? All you read and hear in the English media is how great he is but he hasnt won anything and his record in Europe is poor. Compare that to what Klopp did with Dortmund and what Simeone is doing with Atletico.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

I think the problem in that regard is the Spurs players rather than Poch. I question his tactics sometimes, but the players really lack a killer instinct. And not in the way Alli showed tonight.
Still, we're doing quite well in the FA Cup this season so we'll see how that goes.

It's not so easy to win trophies in England especially if you're not in charge of an elite club. Spurs have done great but they're still a second tier club in the English football market. Your mates Klopp and Pep have seen that it's not so easy to win in the EPL too.

I think the players lack bottle under pressure. With little pressure they are world-beaters. That's not really Poch's fault.
btw I don't think we should really be classing the FA Cup as anything more than the League Cup these days. Teams are far more concerned with Titles, Europe and survival so the teams not so concerned with those battles don't even put out teams to win until the last 8 or semis.
Look at the players in the Leicester Derby replay for evidence of that.

Isn't he an ex-head coach of Leicester.
Sousa? Disaster in Leicester.

You may be right about the FA Cup but I'd still rather win it than not. For a team that's usually thereabouts in terms of quality like Spurs (late 90s and early 00s aside), we should really win more trophies. 2 cups in nearly 30 years is unacceptable.
To be completely honest I'd be happier with a cup win than a CL place, though I know many would disagree. I've almost forgotten what it feels like to celebrate winning something.
EL draw isn't too interesting, and magik is correct, it definitely clears the way for United, especially since it looks like Mourinho is taking the competition seriously with his squad selections. They should beware that away leg in Russia, Bayern came-a-cropper there.
