Or, ya know, become future hall of famers.

Kids 20-30 years from now will still be watching vince carter dunk videos on YouTube I don't about booker. Shooting 3s ain't unique anymore lol

Carters career average 3pt% is actually higher than Bookers! I love veteran Vince :D

Jesus, realgm really has a talent to sell simple dumb things as some sort of NBA realness.
First Pierce taking a whole night to counter Greens trash talk with the lamest answer possible is viewed as Pierce putting draymond in his place. And now an idiotic ejection by Carter is apparently him challenging young guys.
He elbowed him in the heat of the moment and got rightfully ejected, stuff like that happens from time to time. It's not a zen master move to educate the next generation like some people on here make it out to be.

You'd have to be devoid of all human emotion and context to NOT think somewhere in Vince's head he steps on the court knowing he's the old guy around the young bucks.

Nobody is calling it a "zen master move" but it's insane to think he isn't aware of his own age, even in the heat of the moment.

The smirk from him alone says it all.

Booker is that mouthy kid in the school yard that always runs to the teacher whenever something might happen.

Booker 100% flops there. Nothing to see here. And I'm not a fan of Carter.

Booker bumps him and then Vince gives him the sly hit but:

Announcers are homers - Vince's elbow hits under Booker's armpit not the face!

Booker flops - which will serve him well in his career

Suns players rally to protect their boy - awesome!

Vince laughs it off - awesome!

Back in the day this was nothing but I'm a Piston fan so we know how things can escalate lol

Love that the old man still has fire...used to leap draft busts in a single bound and now has to contend with floppy kids that start **** but wanna run when it's on!

Booker starting to look like a guy you don't want on your team in a playoff series cause he backs down when the heat is on

Yeah I was obviously implying that Vince forgot how old he is and that everyone around him is younger. I'm sure he thought before the game 'These young sun players need to be taught a lesson. I'll elbow Booker and smirk afterwards, that'll show them!"
It was a standard elbow with now specific motive, players smirk all the time in those situations. Did Teletovic also want to challenge young lebron two years ago after James went mad at him?
It was a dumb thing to do and doesn't have a deeper meaning despite what people see in it.

i dont know about all this respecting booker stuff...

looks to me like booker rode him, then had his right arm up high for a chop down and vince was like "get that noise outta here boy". booker falling makes it look worse. no contact to head or chest really just bookers arm.

len being a fake tough guy is nice.

Such a punk. Deserved to get put in place by the old man.

Seems like he's trying too hard to establish a tough guy reputation ala Blake Griffin.. but not sure that's gonna work out for him.

Booker definitely yaps a lot, against the Wiz he was going back and forth with Beal all game. But you know, I like seeing that personality from players honestly, makes the games feel more competitive

I can tell Booker is going to turn into a hated player in the league.

Which I absolutely love. We need more conflict and players hating each other. Plus hate will only get thrown Booker's way if he actually is producing enough to get the attention.

So talk your **** Devin!

Not fair to bring up the Adams ejection as evidence that this is something Vince is accustomed to doing, as everyone here knows there are quite a few players that retaliated to Adams' gnat-n-ya-eye antics. And apparently, like Adams, Booker has a history of this, in particular with the Grizzlies...

Carter's swing looked really malicious in real-time, but as another user has stated, replay from another angle shows that it wasn't nearly as bad. Still deserved the ejection, though...

Booker talks a lot of trash. He commits hard fouls and doesn't like giving up transition points. Some players don't mind it, others do. Lebron, wade, zbo, and cousins don't mind it. Vince and Middleton did.

I want players to trash talk and get feisty and cut out the buddy buddy bull.

Whole things overblown. Booker rode Vince after the foul. Vince didn't appreciate it & gave him a get off me foul in retaliation. Booker didn't react badly to it as he knew what he did and Vince smirked cause he knew what he did also. It only got heated when Len came in & slapped the ball out of Vince's hands - Vince felt that was disrespectful & let Len know (if you see Vince goes after Len to let him know what's up & ignores Booker because it was Len that escalated things).

I appreciate how free flowing and wide open the NBA offenses are these days compared to the iso heavy 90s but the missing components in todays game is toughness. It's partly the players but it also seems league mandated to have a soft league and so you get these soft players and these soft All-Star games, etc. It was too rough back in the day but now it's swung too far the other way where plays like this actually cause an ejection...back in the day the Ref's would tell them to get over it & play on. Imagine Maxwell, X-Man, Mason, Oakley, Stockton, Isiah, Dumars, Rodman, Payton, etc playing in today's game? Like Kobe would say...SOFFFFFTTTT....seriously it's gotten as soft as pickup games now.
