The Bears are bidding against themselves, and are overpricing. Only the Bears.....

To me out all depends on the dollar amount and years. If they give him some Oswiler contract, I'm going to be pissed.

Most young QBs drafted high end up starting very quickly. What the hell is the problem with that? Oh yeah, Pace doesnt want to be fired, so he reaches for a caretaker. And he probably will be fired anyway...

All I have heard is that the Bears are the only team left that wants him at starting QB prices.

3 years $14m per wouldn't be Brock like. Brock got 4 years $18m per.

Honestly this reminds me so much of Matt Flynn in Seattle. They took a gamble on Flynn and also drafted Russell Wilson in the 3rd. Glennon is more established than either Brock or Flynn IMO and

Pretty much and now you have to go into the season having to wait on a new caretaker qb to learn the offense . This is not a good start for the Bears .

14 mil for a guy that hasn't proven anything is still a lot. If he proves himself, you can always rework a deal in a couple of years.

Especially when you're the only team gunning for his services as a starter.

No thanks for that dollar amount.

Why don't we just get Kirk Cousins, pay him what he is worth then we won't need to develop another QB or overpay a bridge guy.

2. Pace will probably sign him to a 2-3 year deal but with 10-14M guaranteed up front... basically a one year QB that is cheaper than Jay this season.

3. If Pace wants a QB that is worthy of the 3rd pick he can take him and let him learn the system and settle in. If Glennon shows he's legit then you have a good problem.

4. No way you overpay for Jimmy G when you can pay Glennon for basically a 1yr deal and then just sign Jimmy G next year for big money. Dont' have to waste any picks. There is NO WAY Jimmy G stays behind Brady after next season. He will want to start and be paid. Only way you get Jimmy G now is if Patriots lower their price and you send them a 2nd and 4th. Pace is being smart and patient.

The only way a team is getting Jimmy is thru trade. He will be traded this offseason. Belichik always prefers to let go of someone a year early as opposed to a year late. If the Bears feel that he can be their franchise QB for the next 10 years, then no price is too high

I'm not so sure.

If Pats really think he is legit they won't give him away for less than two 1sts and I dont' see anyone giving him that. That includes the Browns.

I could see Brady declining as well. I know he's superhuman and eats like a caveman but he will eventually decline and if they think Jimmy G is the next big time star they won't let him go.

A TD/INT ratio of 30/15 isn't nothing.

When another team decides they aren't in a hurry to keep their own QB, then that should give anyone red flags.

Edit: actually, I change my mind. I'd much rather have him than Glennon.
