They already have Graham and Wilson, who both burn the 49ers.

Willson is a free agent. Graham has very little negative threat to what he'd do for them IMO.

That's interesting. I have been one to be fairly vocal about kind of liking McCarron. Not that I think he's destined to become this great QB but he's one of my favorite developmental options that's already in the league.
I also haven't been shy about saying how Richardson drives me crazy and I think he's got a lot of immaturity issues that I don't know if he'll ever get over so I would be more than interested in seeing what I could get for him if I were in any real position and only knew what I know as a fan.
I agree with McCarron he was one I would like the Niners to acquire at worst he would be a good bridge but I think he could be an above average starter.

Cordarrelle Patterson - WR - Raiders
Raiders signed WR/KR Cordarrelle Patterson, formerly of the Vikings.
Well, that did not take long. Patterson looked to be headed out of his visit without a contract on Monday night, but he returned to the facility and the two sides quickly hammered out a deal. Likely to serve as the fourth receiver behind Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and Seth Roberts, the landing spot is not great for Patterson's fantasy value, but he should be able to impact games for Oakland both as a gadget player and return man. Perhaps Patterson will push Roberts for targets in camp, but he can be ignored in fantasy drafts at this point.

Kirk Cousins - QB - Redskins
Profootballtalk reports there's a "growing belief" in league circles the Browns could pursue Redskins franchise player Kirk Cousins.
Per a league source, Cousins' concern upon signing the franchise tag was that he could be traded, "specifically" to Cleveland. The Browns have the cap space, draft picks and need to pursue a deal. Were Cousins to be acquired without a long-term contract already in tow, the sides would have until July 15 to come to an agreement. Although he's tried to tamp down the speculation in recent days, Cousins appears bitterly unhappy in Washington.

Kirk Cousins - QB - Redskins
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns "aren't expected" to make a run at Redskins franchise player Kirk Cousins, but that three other teams have in the past 10 days and were "immediately turned down."
Profootballtalk reported Tuesday there's a "growing belief" in league circles Cleveland will make a play for Washington's disgruntled quarterback. Beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reports it's unlikely because of both the draft pick compensation and contract the rebuilding Browns would have to shell out. It's still not a categorical denial. The Redskins have adopted a "This Is Fine." public posture with their quarterback, but the rest of the league isn't buying it.

Dontari Poe - DL - Free Agent
Free agent NT Dontari Poe is visiting the Dolphins this week.
We already knew Poe was visiting the Dolphins, but now we know when. He will arrive on Tuesday evening, and presumably make his official visit on Wednesday. Poe has already visited the Falcons and Colts.

Percy Harvin - WR - Free Agent
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports free agent Percy Harvin is retiring "for real this time."
"He's done," Harvin's rep said. Harvin made it 23 days last season before his migraines returned. Harvin is a special talent whose body just won't cooperate. Stunningly, Harvin is still only 28 years old, but his career is all but over.

Ravens are releasing Jeremy Zuttah. Just went to Pro Bowl and PFF graded him 14th among Centers with high run blocking.

Re: Around the NFL Thread
I was never a big fan of his coming out of college, but in this instance this might work. He can easily be that #3 receiver: third down / long bomb option that they're were envisioning for Coates:
Justin Hunter - WR - Steelers
Steelers signed WR Justin Hunter, formerly of the Bills.
The former No. 34 overall pick in 2013, Hunter has never really put his intriguing blend of size (6'4/203) and speed (4.44 forty) together at the pro level, though he has shown some red-zone and deep-ball skills with 12 touchdowns and a career 16.7 YPR average. Landing in Pittsburgh with Ben Roethlisberger and OC Todd Haley is as good of a chance Hunter will have to get his career on track. He'll likely fill the old Markus Wheaton role as a deep threat and provide the Steelers insurance should they not get Martavis Bryant back from suspension.

I'm as interested to see what they do for the center spot as just about any position on the offense. If one can use Shanahan's recent history as a guide for what he's going to do with the play calls, more of it will fall on the center and not on the quarterback (thank God if they go young QB in THIS draft), so it's going to be very important to see what they think of the center spot this year.
One of my favorite attributes about Kilgore coming in was that he had the mentality and temperament I look for at the center spot but he was a developmental project from a technical and recognition standpoint so I'm not sure he'll be a fast pick up for the Shanahan offense, assuming it's similar at that spot to what he's favored in his recent past.
Not 100% convinced Zuttah is in the perfect mold for a Shanahan center but at least coming into the NFL, and the small bits I've seen so far, I could see, though I don't know for sure, Zuttah being a faster pick up on the Shanahan offense and being a better link initially for the others around him on that line right away than I would expect Kilgore to be.
Nick Mangold would be an interesting short term option. It might not be the easiest transition for him into a Shanahan offense after the career he's had but he's another guy whose temperament and mentality I like and I could see him being able to squeeze out and hold his own relatively OK if they do deem the center spot to be critical in this offense and need a stabilizing force until they can figure out what to do long-term. I'd especially be interested in this if they did go young at QB this year. A couple teams have asked Mangold to play guard already so it's possible he could be attracted to a situation where he wouldn't have to me, though playing for a definite contender at guard or center might trump any of that for him. I don't know.
Outside of that, I don't see a ton there in FA at C, in my opinion. A lot of older names and guys who are still developing and have struggled elsewhere.

Vikings re-signed Terrence Newman. He'll be 39 when the season starts.
Fun fact. There's only 5 people left in the league from the '03 draft - Newman, Carson Palmer, Jason Witten, Terrell Suggs, and Anquan Boldin.

Re: Around the NFL Thread
The average ($10.875) puts him at 2nd most in the NFL.
Kuechly - $12.360M
Wagner - $10.75M
Bowman - $10.5M
Cushing - $8.75M
The guarantees should fall in the top 3-5 range.
