SWEET!!! Maybe GMs will get scared & pass on him...

I doubt he would last until our second pick

Stranger things has happened over the years. I couldn't believe Tunsil fell out of the top 3 in last year's draft. Myles Jack, despite his injury, lasted until round 2. A few years ago Kevin White didn't play a single down of football as a rookie-they sort of regret investing such a high pick on him. That situation is still in the minds of other teams in the NFL. Therefore considering all of these factors it wouldn't totally shock me if Davis fell to round two. However, if we see him dropping past pick 25, I would beg Lynch to try to trade back up in the late first to snatch him up. If we don't, a team like the Browns could end up with #1-Garrett, #12-Watson/Trubisky, #33-Davis

Mike Williams - WR - Tigers

An NFC personnel director told NFL Media's Lance Zierlein that Clemson WR Mike Williams is "[r]eally pretty looking when you watch him down on the field but he's not there yet."

"When college players get up here and find out that cornerbacks are faster and more physical, there is an adjustment period. I think it will take him some time to figure things out but I think he'll do it," the personnel director said of the 6-foot-4, 218-pounder, additionally telling Zierlein, "He's going to be good, I just don't know if he's going to be a star." For his part, Zierlein compares Williams' game to that of former Steelers WR Plaxico Burress.

Chris Godwin - WR - Nittany Lions

Penn State WR Chris Godwin is scheduled to visit the Steelers, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Godwin dominates in the contested catch department, something the Steelers currently lack with the ongoing uncertainty with Martavis Bryant. Godwin then displayed astounding athleticism, producing a composite score in the 89th percentile. An evaluator can look at his game and see that Godwin shines in one area with the potential upside to grow in others. The 21-year-old will be a second day selection.

it be foolish for teams to pass on him in the first rd...

if he's there around 20s for god knows what reason, i'd definitely root for the trade up.

Even if there's a Howard.

O.J. Howard - TE - Crimson Tide

Alabama TE O.J. Howard revealed he has visits lined up with the Bucs and the Titans.

The Titans have two first round selections and the Bucs could add a second tight end to push the passing game even further. Delanie Walker is clearly the Titans top pass catching target, but is getting older in age. Howard would add talent to any passing or running game.

Cam Robinson - T - Crimson Tide

Alabama T Cam Robinson told media members he has a visit scheduled with the Jaguars.

From what we can tell, Jaguars current left tackle Branden Albert has zero guaranteed money left on his contract after the recent trade from the Dolphins. The Jaguars will certainly look for a left tackle sooner than later, even if the Luke Joeckel draft pick and the previous signing of Kelvin Beachum. Robinson has a drive blockers mentality, but could wind up as an early second round selection.

Myles Garrett - DL - Aggies

An NFL scout speaking with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel indicated that he'd take take Joey Bosa over Texas A&M edge rusher Myles Garrett.

Hot take alert! "This guy is supposed to be the certain first pick in the draft but he leaves a lot to be desired," he said. "He’s a good athlete but there are stretches of him not being productive. He’s not really a tough guy. He’s not strong. He’s a flash player. Everything is solid off the field but I don’t think he plays hard." Not all scouts polled were as critical of the player who accrued 32.5 sacks over the past three years amidst consistent double-teams. "He’s a freak," said another scout. "This guy is bigger and longer than Von Miller (6-2½, 246). He’s the best player in the draft." A third scout said: "He will not let teammates down. He’s committed. He’s all in."

Deshaun Watson - QB - Tigers

An NFL coach speaking with Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman said Clemson QB Deshaun Watson will benefit greatly from the rookie success of Dak Prescott.

Per Feldman, teams may put a greater draft value on Watson following Prescott's success despite questions about his accuracy and unforced turnovers. "A lot of those quarterbacks (in Indy) got the deer-in-headlights look. He was great when the spotlight was brightest and I think that will hold up at the next level," an NFL coach said. "I like what Clemson does. They’re maximizing matchups and are really good at finding ways to declare the coverages by lining up in certain formations so they have the answers to the test, and Deshaun really did a good job with that when you ask him what type of information are you gathering with that."

I wonder how much that contributes to the number of INTs he's thrown. if it is a big factor I can't imagine his high turnover problem getting better in the NFL. I don't know how much stock should be put into that stat, but it makes sense that the longer the ball is in the air the more time defenders have to act on it.

So far the numbers have shown that there's no strong correlation between the two. HOWEVER, the elite passers in the league, and even the marginal probowlers have put up velocity #s higher than a 53.

Hmm, Kap is 59.

But I think you also have to account for the release, like whether some of these guys have to really wind up vs. having a more compact motion.

Stafford didn't throw but he would be up there.

Mallett has one of the higher figures but I remember the rap against him was that he needed a big footprint and maybe a windup, so he could be more vulnerable to pressure than another QB with smaller footprint and more compact motion.

That's my biggest concern with Kizer, causing me to cool off on him a bit over the past couple of months. It's not as bad as Tim Tebow's, but it's there. Perhaps a year or two as a backup and working on his mechanics could fixed that lingering problem. It'll turn him from a good QB to a pro bowler type of QB.

Christian McCaffrey - RB - Player

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline "consistently heard daily rumors" at the Combine that the Broncos could make Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey their first-round pick.

Pauline drew on Broncos GM John Elway's relationship with the McCaffrey family after playing with Ed in Denver, in addition to Elway's college background having schooled at Stanford. Pauline suggests McCaffrey wouldn't necessarily take over as the Broncos' feature back, instead operating as an all-purpose weapon who also returns punts and kicks. The Broncos pick at No. 20 overall.

T.J. Watt - LB - Badgers

Wisconsin edge rusher T.J. Watt told media members at least one team asked him about a possible switch to ILB.

Watt projects as an edge rusher in practically any lineup thanks to his 6-foot-4, 252-pound frame and outstanding athleticism (94th percentile). Watt checks off so many boxes in terms of NFL evaluations, and you can certainly expect evaluators who want to draft him will use a "bloodlines" pitch in the draft room. Watt will be a first round pick, the only question is how early. The insider linebacker class lacks talent throughout, so the transition might be possible.
