And what do you mean MVPs plural? Only Rose won an MVP. Melo never won it.

Damn. You're right, I gave this team too much credit.

Still doesn't excuse the fact, this far fetched notion that Melo is working too hard and has given the Knicks his all. I mean, tha's a bald faced lie. This guy hasn't showed up unless it's to exchange shots. Last night, he was atrocious on defense.

Getting into the top 2 would be the best possible outcome for the 2016-2017 Knicks. Let's GOOOOOOOOO

I haven't done deep research on the other draft picks but if we don't come out this draft without a point guard it would be a fail.

Why would the Knicks pass up on a point guard with their 2nd and 3rd pick?
Jackson and Tatum are dime of dozens. Every year players like these come out.

Yeah this is false. In any other draft Tatum and Jackson would be vying for the top slot. We are in no position to be nit picky. We take the BPA. Luckily, BPA in this draft at our slot is almost always SF, SG, PG, the positions we need help at the most. If Tatum and/or JJ is available at our slot, along with say, Smith, Frank, and Monk, and it's clear Tatum and JJ are the better prospects, you nab one of them and don't hesitate.

If I got the first pick, I might look to move it for either Philly's 2 #1s or Sacramento's 2 #1s.

I'd be weary picking a player from Duke. Besides Kyrie , what other Duke player has been a perennial all-star.

You could have said the same thing about Kawhi...wait people thing Leonard is going to turn into Pippen, or whatever. Point being, JJ and Tatum are not a dime a dozen, not even close.

Elton Brand, Grant Hill, Kyrie, Boozer. Plus, there are other very very solid players who played on winning teams like Deng, Redick. Also, just because a player is from Duke doesn't mean he will be like past players from Duke. Kyrie, your example, is a perfect example of that.

I never trust players from Duke. How's Brandon Ingram doing? How about Jahlil Okafor? Historically so many of their players end up as busts. Even Grant Hill, for as great as he was, still was somewhat of a let down with the Pistons. He never had that drive that they needed in the post Isiah era. Laettner, Hurley, etc. The list goes on and on.

Is there a top 50 player all time that played at Duke? Is Hill considered top 50?

In theory, he slots nicely into Melo's spot. Plus I have a little problem using a top 5 pick on a PG. I am sticking to the idea that you can get good PG's in creative, low-cost ways. Lots of examples, whereas really good wing scorers, much harder to come by.

However if the BPA is a PG, then go for it. Lots of things worse than that.

Don't confuse injuries with being a let down. Grant Hill was a top 10 player with the Pistons, maybe even better than that. Go look at his stats again. And the Pistons were winning. If he hadn't gotten hurt he CLEARLY would have been a top 50 player. Did you watch Hill play with the Pistons? He was an absolute terror. Also, Ingram has been playing much better of late, and can you really say you have a clue how his career will go after just 60 games? Okafor was put in a TERRIBLE situation, and even he is playing better of late. Historically, actually, most of the Duke players have very long, solid careers, with some stars mixed in (Kyrie, Brand, Boozer, Hill). Hurley got seriously injured, and Laettner made an all star team and played 13 seasons.
