What Game Will You Just Never Forget?

Post#1 » by Tiesto_Lakers » Mon Mar 20, 2017 10:07 am

There's obviously many games that we'll always remember, but what's the first game that comes to mind where you just think "that was an awesome game from start to finish."

One that comes to mind for me was OKC vs GSW Game 6 last year. Another is the Gold Medal game between the USA and ESP in 2008.

Bunch of playoff games, but weirdly enough a regular season game sticks out, GSW @ OKC where Curry hit that insane 40 foot game winner. Incredible game all around but after Curry's game winner I was just dumbfounded, felt like he was breaking the game. I had never seen anything like it, was telling my roommates who I watched the game with that this is the highest level of offense anyone's ever reached. But I think the really important thing to take away here is that the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead.

No game has ever reached the tension that I had while watching game 7 of the 2010 finals versus the Celtics.

There are three I can think of.

Game 4 2014 Finals. Will never forget the beating the Heat got from the Spurs, and the feeling I got that the Spurs would just win the ring no matter what. IIRC that was the game the score was something like 7x-40, and the Manu on Bosh dunk too. That night basketball just made me happy.

Game 7 Lakers Celtics 2010 for me. Beating Boston was important for me.

Yeah, the last three games of that series are my three favorite NBA games of all time. I've rewatched each of them at least 15 times.

The last two games of the 2013 Finals are equally memorable, for the exact opposite reasons.

There are lots, but off the top of my head:

Game 6 Spurs/Nets 2003 (near TD quad-double)
Game 5 Lakers/Spurs 2004 (0.4)
Game 5 Spurs/Pistons 2005 (Horry game)

For various reasons missed out on watching lots of big games for a few years here...

Boston/Chicago 2009 1st round (pretty much the whole thing)
Miami/Boston 2012 Game 6
Miami/Spurs 2013 Game 6 and 7
Miami/Spurs 2014 Game 4
Cavs/Warriors 2015 Game 3
Cavs/Warriors 2016 Game 7.

is that the game where marv albert says 'the most dangerous player is the man out of bounds...' when ginobili draws a double in the corner and horry is wide open for 3?

insane game
