I was leaning towards playing Negan until he put on that black coat at the end of that episode. Made him look like the stereotypical 2nd in command (which was cemented by them basically having Dwight looking all meek standing next to Eugene).

Eugene is incredibly intelligent...the guy manipulated Abraham and Rosita (plus the whole group) into protecting him for a long time because he played the part of a high level scientist working for the government. And he said he knew how this all started and got everyone to head to Washington.

Playing the part of a loyal teammate in Negan's group sounds a lot easier.

According to Peter Gould, the next 3 episodes will be pedal to the metal on steroids.

I'm hoping Sasha and Rosita die horrific deaths, having gone full stupid mode.

Honestly, my guess is that Eugene won't make it to Season 8.

The plot just doesn't make any sense.

Thelma and Louise didn't end like that! This show sucks! What a wasted season!

Anyone got any spoilers? I'm sick of waiting. I already know what happens with Negan. Other than that I got nothing. Who's Holly? Does anyone die soon? Does Eugene get his head bashed in? Does that d-bag from Hilltop get jacked up? I'm sick of waiting!

It appears that the show has indeed "toned down" the violence.

I never understood why people loved Negan in the comic books. He was supposed to be a minor villain and got spun off into a big role and the story suffered for it. All Out War was idiotic when it came to its resolution. So the dumb things you're seeing in the show are to waste time for the dumb things in the comics to happen.

This was definitely show padding but there was a plotline in the comic that was fairly similar and ties in with the big, er, thing, that is happening soon. Not sure if soon is this season but I guess it could be.

I feel like the scene will be the last scene of the last episode of the season.

That's what Gould said about the final 3 episodes. I didn't dislike last night's show like some others here though I thought there'd be more action. All that said, I believe you're right. Shyt gonna hit the fan.

People act like every episode has to be fast and the furious 11 or something

Part of what makes this show so good is that they are unafraid to take a breath, take a beat, develop some characters, and then kill them. Lol

You can't just off everyone with no stakes

You gotta build character too

You can't just have all action, you need to have pauses as well

Expect more action soon
