Picks are always more valuable then players. I'd trade any 2nd+ year players for picks. Every year.

The point of a high pick is to hopefully land a franchise building block like KP

Can Fultz or Ball or whomever possibly be better than KP? Of course. Do you take that risk? No tank you.

When Smack was throwing trading KP idea around..

Everyone who responded said yes, one guy even said he would give us both picks, Brown and Zizic.

Why would we trade him for the Boston pick when they're picking #4 and we're getting #1?

What if Boston did trade us both picks plus that bum Brown....and we fuqed around and took BOTH Fultz and Ball?

Ball
Fultz
Brown(may look better with a pass first PG)

I don't see how that would make us any better. Ball/KP or Fultz/KP are much better fits than Ball and Fultz.

And Brown doesn't move the needle at all.

Not the premise of this thread. We would be trading KP for the pick in this scenario.

...and I like the fit of Ball and Fultz because I think Fultz has a bit of Rose in him(pure scorer) and Ball is more Kidd(floor general)

That would be the most athletic and explosive backcourt we have ever had.

It was the premise of your post. You said if we f*cked around and took both Fultz and Ball. So you are assuming our own pick got in the top 3.

In your scenario the knicks would be foolish to trade KP for the top pick because any of the top picks and KP is better than mixing or matching two top 3 picks.
