Say we got really lucky and landed the third pick. And Boston ends up with first or second. I wonder if we could work out a swap. Say they draft fultz at 1. We at 3rd with Jackson on the board. Would the draft rights to Jackson and say Willy be enough to get fultz?

Same question could probably apply if suns got 2nd and we got 3rd or maybe even 4th. Say Willy and Tatum for ball. Who I'm sure would rather ny over Phoenix and might actually push for that.

Those teams have guards and could use a forward. We badly need a guard.

That is just laughably untrue
Kristaps went from 14.3 7.3 1.3 .7 1.9 on 42/33/84 splits his first year (.518 TS%) to
18.1 7.3 1.4 .7 2.0 on 44/36/79 splits this year (.541 TS%), so more points more efficiently, yeah soo much worse
Giannis first year: 7/4.4/1.9/.8/.8 on 41/35/68 splits (.518 TS%)
Giannis second year: 13/6.7/2.6/.9/1 on 49/16/74 splits (.552 TS%)

So about the same improvement from a scoring/efficiency standpoint. Giannis didn't really break out until this year, his 4th year

Porzingis' rebounds are down, fouls are up...assist numbers still stink. True shooting has improved but for a big that takes the amount of shots he does it needs to be better. He's still an unknown but to say he's trending upwards or to star status its just not true.

So first off, his rebounds are the same
Second, his job isn't to create for others, why would you expect him to have high assists?
Third, you do realize that the more shots you take, the lower your efficiency typically is?
Fourth, I literally just showed you statistical improvement and you say he's not trending upwards
Fifth, you want to trade KP because he's an "unknown" for a college kid that has not played a single minute in the NBA. That is literally the definition of an unknown
BaF Lakers:

Darius Garland/Cory Joseph
Klay Thompson/Shaedon Sharpe
Keldon Johnson/De'Andre Hunter
Evan Mobley/Tari Eason
Nic Claxton/Draymond Green

Bench: Leonard Miller, Jett Howard, Markquis Nowell, Kennedy Chandler, Day'Ron Sharpe

You do realize if this teade was proposed to Boston, they'd say yes in a heartbeat? That's how you know you're getting stiffed. When the other side says yes without even thinking.

Gasol - All star
Cousins - All star

Lopez is a talent offensively but stinks on defense

Towns putting up similar numbers (more polished offensively) but KP is better on defense

Embiid - two foot surgeries and now a knee surgery so I can't put him in the discussion until he actually plays a full season.

So KP is putting up similar offensive numbers next to all those all-star caliber centers at the age of 21...and he is the best defensive player out of that group too.

greenie is saying she would trade kp for both picks. then compares kp to these guys. which should lead to the next question. would anyone trade any of these guys for both bk picks?

Of course not. Ball is pretty much the best player in college basketball as a freshman and an immediate starter at PG. If Porzingis were put into this current draft Ball still goes one overall. If the question is Porzingis for Ball its a no-brainer move even with the father being a pain.

Sure- but those two could easily play together. Point being Lonzo is going #1 overall regardless of lottery outcome save an injury.

Giannis is far from the sure thing we all thought he'd be after the first 3 months of his rookie year. This is what you sound like

Giannis improved significantly from year 1 to year 2. Porzingis is getting worse.

Giannis also had a dreadful rookie season. It's easy to improve from the bottom. KP was runner up ROY. Also, Giannis did not improve "significantly" from year 1 to 2. That jump came from the second half of year 3 to the beginning of this season. KP's fg% is up, 3p makes and % are both up, ft% barely down, rebounds the same, assists and blocks barely up, steals and TO the same, points way up. In what universe is he getting worse? 18, 7, 2blks, 2 3's per game and he's getting worse...I don't know what's happening with this board.

Not one GM is taking Porzingis over Ball. Well, maybe besides Phil.

His TS% is up, everything else is down per48.(besides fouls which are up, but that's bad)

Yes they are. Lonzo Ball hasn't proven anything at the NBA level yet. KP is already an All Star level player still on a rookie contract. In terms of the young talent in the NBA, KP is right up there with KAT, Jokic, and Anthony Davis (Embiid too if he's healthy). Go scour the forums, and look for threads/posts from other fan bases discussing KP's trade value.

There are still huge questions regarding all the prospects in this year's draft, particularly Ball and his awkward jump shot, and how it will translate at the NBA level.

So, what we got so far.

Ball, Tatum, Markkanen > KP?

So Fultz is surely also better.

DSJ, Jackson?

Would KP even go in top10 this year?

Don't you have to make the all-star team to be an all-star player?
