Well if one game can make a players value...Fox would definitely be a top-3 to 4 pick. But scoring like he did on Ball/Alford is not all that hard to do. I mean Lonzo Ball defensively makes Lou Williams look like Gary Payton.

What a surprise....when you can't consistently get your own shot in the half court against college athletes you tend to look bad when playing against a NBA caliber guard. Ball looked awful and disinterested...which he tends to look when games aren't be played the way the system dictates(up and down). Too many holes in his game to be #1 pick and hopefully he isn't on this team and if he ends up here he'll need to be 4th or 5th option offensively.

I get that Monk probably won't project as a defensive player of the year candidate or anything, but I've been saying all year that his defense isn't as bad as it's made out to be. He can turn it on when it matters. He has the athleticism to be a decent defender. And he can clearly shoot 3s, you just have to keep letting him shoot. Like any great shooter, you don't give up on them and change your gameplan. Eventually the shots will start falling

Then he started taking some heat check shots and kind of forced the issue a bit but after watching this game I'm not even gonna lie, I think Monk could actually be a 3&D player in the NBA

Monk is maybe 190 pounds and has a 6-3 wingspan. He's not a 3-D player, you just hope he shows a will to want to guard PGs and the point of attack to some extent.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying team executives etc. don't do it -- it's hard not to -- it's just don't get too crazy with proclamations. It's probably best for your own sanity in the long run.

Yeah look at Elfrid Payton

I think projects better than Payton does but I think he will never really be a jump shooter or even enough to be threatening as a jump shooter

But he is a guy who steps up when you need him to.

I usually dislike Coach K teams but I liked this Kentucky team because they are actually players who play well off each other and just happen to have 3 most likely lotto picks starting

Fox is a good free throw shooter, better than Ball, DSJ, and Fultz, all 3 pgs projected to go ahead of him. His form is good. He'll develop a jumper. Payton otoh was not a good free throw shooter in college, which is why it's not surprising he hasn't developed a jumper. Fox is also much quicker than Payton.

I actually feel bad for Ball, he's gonna get so much crap from the media bc of his father, not to mention players at the next level having bulletin board matieral for years to punish him.

Also screw Calipari. I don't mean to step on toes of the U.K. Fans here, but that guy is the biggest phony I've ever seen. Would've much rather seen ucla advance.

If the Sonics had Lavar Ball they would have swept the '96 Bulls.

Yup, dude went ghost in the last 5 minutes because he can't get his own shot. That stepback slingshot trey won't work against a great defender, and he really doesn't have Fox's quickness to blow by his defender either.

Side note I will be absolutely shocked if lakers don't pick Lonzo if opportunity presents itself. Get me Fultz/Jackson and I'll be a pig in poo.

I just wouldn't downplay how truly awful he's been on non-FTs. He finishes like a boss and still struggles to get to a 55% TS. My point with PG shooting is that it's WAY harder for a PG to improve his jumper. He's going to be taking so many more shots off the bounce, and that's just way different than telling a Josh Jackson to go sit in the corner and hit standstill 3s and just keep practicing until you can.

I don't disagree that his floor is much higher than Elfrid's either way though.

The KU/UNC game should be epic. I will assume that if Fox/Monk can beat them Sunday...KU fan " Ashley Judd " just may go down on them as a Reward.

I'm not down playing it, he's been a terrible jump shooter. Lots of guys learn to shoot once they get to the nba though and the good ft shooting is encouraging.

I really hope the Lakers get Ball, I think he'll be OK with some talent around him but he won't be able to do much with that roster. Not worth a top 3 pick IMO. Should help our pick from them next year if it doesn't convey.
