[2017 NBA Draft Discussion] - (1: PHI, 2: LAL, 3: BOS)!

Lakers win and Suns win and that seals it.

Pretty amazing few years for the Celtics GM Danny Ainge.
-gets Isaiah Thomas for nothing.
-gets Jae Crowder for expiring Rondo and scraps.
-gets Jaylen Brown with 3rd pick from Brooklyn.
-gets 2017 best odds of #1 pick (guaranteed top 4)
-gets 2018 Nets first round pick unprotected.
-signed Brad Stevens to long term deal.

team scrapes it's way to 50 wins, one of the best teams in the East, with cap room for another 2 max players if the right cards are shuffled- with other assets.

He's set up the C's for a very, very nice future. Still a way to go but he's done an amazing job getting them to this point from the KG/Pierce trade.

Anyway, just hope Mr. Ainge gets recognition he deserves.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Keep hoping... Morey has never gotten any(official) recognition for what he has done.

Probably still won't for the fantastic job he did this off-season either.

And got blown out by a slumping Cavs team when they could get the #1 seed. They suffer from illusory superiority due to the crappy Eastern conference.

Boston is impressive, they have their supporting cast set up, they've got a star in IT and they have a well managed cap situation and copious amounts of assets. Boston could easily trade for a star or two in the off season, or just stand pat and acquire 2 throughout the next two drafts to grow with Brown. Either way, I'm sure a lot of teams are envious of them.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

by star you mean George/Butler/Hayward kind of star?
because nobody is going to trade, even for a 1st pick: Anthony davis, Leonard or Durant

Either approach works - a guaranteed top-4 pick in 2017 and given how bad Brooklyn will probably be another one in 2018. Or trade one of the assets for a star.

First off, I would like to end a day with Katy Perry. Second off, the scale at which Ainge fleeced King is so epic its laughable.

her elbows are too pointy

Ainge did a splendid job rebuilding the Celtics. Only one bad season, which wasn't that bad, steady improvement and now they're set for a decent playoff run in 2017. Most owners would be very happy with the Celtics progress the last few years and correctly so.

And the subsequent attempt at and1s for pointing it out.

Nothing against Boston, but my dream draft would have them getting bumped to 4th and the Lakers losing their pick. That would be swell.

If you had told me a lineup of Horford - Amir - Jae - Avery - IT would be top of the East two years ago I would have laughed in your face.

Shows the wonders that can be done when you have Ownership/Management/Coaching/Players all on the same page.

Didn't the Thunder get blown out last night by a Suns team resting players and initially TRYING to lose? Wow... that one game must mean that the Western Conference is crappy...
