Especially this season, rocking a 2nd ranked PSPA per game in nba history with 115.2 ORtg is something most of the fans want to watch.

I'm not. I can't watch a single game of Harden play basketball unless it's against the Warriors, where I am just forced to. Hurts my eyes.

That's cool.

It's a legit question...I wasn't trying to be snarky. I personally can't watch him unless they're playing my favorite team, so was wondering if anyone else felt the same. Wasn't trying to make it offensive but I see how it could come off that way.

And I meant non-Rockets fans...I wonder how many non-Rockets fans watch them play? Seriously...I know it's something we can't really track though.

I don't know if I've ever been this pumped to see a non-Lakers playoff series

Not this season. The reason for those Westbrook comebacks have been bad performances by the team as a whole, not blown leads. The Magic, Mavs and Nuggets manhandled us for 30 something minutes straight until Russ took over the game and the rest of the team decided to give effort.
This will be what it comes down to for the Thunder: Will the fight and give it their all, or will they not show up and get their asses handed to them?

DROB27 wrote:The rockets haven't been great since their 31-9 start .. I'm surprised people expect a quick series

Their NetRtG has been +3.9 since 1/1 and they've been the 7th worst team in 3P% over that stretch. In addition to this, their DRtG after the ASB is 19th in the league.
I only saw this myself today, but I guess you don't really think about it if you don't follow that team. I can see tem getting hot and blowing us off the floor like they did in the 4th regular season meeting, but I somewhat doubt that to happen 4 times over the next two weeks (especially since we have done a good job at defending against them after the initial offensive spurts in the first 3 games). Key seems to be to not let them get hot from 3 (they're 38-7 when they shoot better than 35 % from 3 in a game and 18-21 when the opposite happens).

Still better than watching any EC play-off games. Garbage conference.

The playoffs in the East will be A LOT more competitive. Celtics/Wizards in the 2nd round will probably be the playoff series period.

Top 4 teams in the East are all about on par with the Rockets. We just don't have a Warriors/Spurs team unless the Cavs turn it on.

You enjoy watching the 1st round of the EC playoffs then. I'm sure that will be super entertaining and way better than the WC first round. lol

I think either Houston or OKC in 7. The way Donnvoan handled the warriors last year, I think it's the same type of matchup for him.

I'm pretty sure if they win the series it will be a win situation.

Neither conference is likely to be great in the first round beyond maybe LAC and the Jazz

There is a lot of hype around this series too.... the top two MVP candidates going head-to-head... So that's at least 2 out of 4 and personally I'm excited for SAS-Griz so i'll be watching all those games. GSW-Portland will probably suck though.

EC first round? lol no.

Probably makes a difference which conference you're a fan of.

Spurs Grizzlies is not something I want to watch. But you're right - two in the West should be interesting. In the East it'll be fun watching PG go against LeBron. People seem to think the Bulls will give the Celtics a series too.

This is widely regarded as the most anticipated matchup of the first round and that's overwhelmingly because of the play of James Harden and Russell Westbrook.

You are in the micro-minority here.

It's two MVP candidates going head to head, so yes, that's going to draw people in.

But it appears thus far I'm in the majority of people that don't enjoy watching Harden play

Rockets in 6. Westbrook just doesnt have a good enough supporting cast imo. OKC's lack of outside shooting will be a huge problem

I actually can understand Harden winning MVP over Westbrook (I really think you can argue for either player) but don't really like that logic because Harden has a lot more offensive firepower on his team, if Westbrook had the kind of shooters Harden has, I doubt OKC would have the 17th ranked offense

But Bill 'I really should have retired 5 years ago' Simmons said Russ had two top 3 lottery picks on his team!

If Harden's team was so obviously stacked why did everyone have them finishing .500 before the season started? Maybe Harden makes his teammates better.

I'm not saying they are incredibly stacked but they definitely have more offensive firepower than the Thunder do and a better offensive system.
