Dwight Howard is never going to get a ring.

He's all washed up.

A lot of bad calls both ways last night. Millsap called for a travel for dribbling after catching a shot he had blocked?

Reporter: 55 total foul calls, what's the biggest challenge?

Dwight: I don't know.

Reporter: Is there anything more you would've done personally in that game?

Dwight: I don't know.

Reporter: What happened in the 4th? Beal just kinda went off there.

Dwight: I don't know.

71 combined free throws on 55 fouls, this isn't what gets people excited about NBA basketball.

Paul Millsap is straight up bitch made with this soft comments after game one, a game that wasn't even all that physical to begin with and had them at the line 39 times.

Granted, Washington didn't do themselves any favors yapping about what they were going to do on the court to anybody with a mic, but the leagues reaction to all of this, way over the freaking top.

How did anything that happened in game warrant a memo and more importantly, such a piss poor job by the referees?

Post season free throw attempts is 23.4 a game and the Hawks averaged 24.9 for the season. They're at 38.5 FTAs right now, a full seven attempts ahead of the Rockets that led that category with 26.9 for the season and are at 31.5 in postseason play.

I'm sorry, but this is bull.

Honestly, one way to read Kieff's comments is a threat to be even more physical and the league isn't having that. Dude should just shut up about it.

“It’s simple,” Millsap said. “Our small ball is better than theirs. We think we play small ball better than anybody in the league. That is one of our better lineups. We can push the tempo. Get up and down the court. I think we have taken advantage of that.”

Dude, Dwight Howard did not play at all in the 4th quarter. Your small ball lineup lost the quarter 35-23 to the Wizards. Howard was +5 for the game. You, Millsap, were -6 for the game.

Try again.

Well he's not exactly a road scholar. He thinks the series is 0-0.

Marcin Gortat had a terrible second half of the season by his standards and saw his minutes cut when Mahinmi came back. Perhaps those fresh legs are paying dividends now.

Dwight's been outplayed by a lot of centers who are supposedly lesser players. If they can move away from the basket and have a decent BBIQ he has a hard time.

I love my fellow contributors and fans of the Wizards from our board, but that's Rhodes scholar unless I'm missing the irony.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Gortat has seen a resurgence ever since Mahinmi's injury. Gortat feeds off of confidence and there's nothing worse for confidence than knowing you have a backup who will eat most of your minutes if you don't play well.

Without Mahinmi, I think Gortat is playing a more free and confident brand of basketball.

It's not like Gortat is some sort of outside threat, he's simply beating Howard at what's supposed to be his bread and butter, inside the lane.

Howard is getting outworked and outhustled, pretty much the bottom line.

Sitting him for the entire fourth quarter and then having Millsap dog him doesn't bode well for his fragile ego.

I could see this going two ways on Saturday, he starts asserting himself in this series or he takes himself out of the game early with foul trouble overzealously trying to make up for his soft games to start this round.

Can someone explain what's going on? What comments did Millsap make? What's the no layup rule? Why did the league get involved?

True after looking at video it's shocking how little effort he is putting forth this series. He's not even attempting to act like he's going to hedge on screens.

I like Millsap as a player, but he really needs to stop talking. He's just making himself sound like more and more of an idiot every time he opens his mouth.

I hope this series won't last too long. As from basketball fan perspective there is nothing worse than zebras focus all attention on themself. Amount of BS for this series limited after thoae 2 games. They should be invisible and let the guys play.

Morris runs his mouth too much. Dude play and don't talk at all.

Clint Capela is so much better than Dwight Howard. He's more mobile, brings more energy, and most importantly, he doesn't have Dwight's ego. The Hawks screwed themselves by giving this guy $20 million.
