I guess john Farrell didn't want an easy win. Sale would've had a cgso with ease

IIRC, his fielding problems were more related to his catching than his throwing last year.

Come on, Grilli...
Black Watch and Hamyltowne, my former usernames, are tartan patterns. Nothing to do with any race or any city.

Don't understand why they left him in there, though...

Grilli's FIP was 6.97 before this game and a whip of 1.4, which just went up.

We are def blowing it up this deadline the question will become how much? Been reading that ownership ( per usual) likely doesn't want a full tear down.

I just don't see what choice ownership has, given the free agency status of most of the players. I mean, you can start building back up almost immediately, but you might as well move the guys who'll be free agents within short order...and clear our the bad salaries if you can. And the combination thereof covers basically all of our veterans.
**** your asterisk.

Blown save + win. The wins stat is a very silly thing.

Most experts were still picking them to make the playoffs and I'm not sure spending more money would have prevented this easy disaster. Hard to predict that all your key hitters would slump all at once.

Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

I'm pretty much there. We're 6.5 GB+ of three AL East teams, and need to win 59%+ of our remaining games (ie., be about the best team in the AL after playing the first 10% as the worst) just to have a solid shot at the Wild Card. That's tough sledding.
**** your asterisk.
