Reverse Playoff Draft - Playoff Teams Can Add A Player - Who fits their team needs best?
So, are you good at figuring who might complete a team to elevate them to be a lot more competitive? Lets say they had a reverse draft before the playoff starts, and beginning with the playoff team with the worst record, each team could select any player in the NBA that isn't in the playoffs, and then of course the next team picks, but they obviously couldn't pick that same player, and as it goes on, and any previous players cannot be picked.
Can you play RealGM? Who do you pick if YOU are GM of each team at your spot, knowing who all is available and what your biggest team needs are?

Portland
Chicago
Milwaukee
Indiana
Atlanta
Memphis
Oklahoma City
Washington
LA Clippers
Utah
Toronto
Cleveland
Boston
Houston
San Antonio
Golden State

That is how I would pick, if I were the respective teams GM:
Portland - Anthony Davis
Chicago - Karl-Anthony Towns
Milwaukee - Kemba Walker
Indiana - Demarcus Cousins
Atlanta - Nicolas Batum
Memphis - Wilson Chandler
Oklahoma City - Marvin Williams
Washington - Nikola Jokic
LA Clippers - Carmelo Anthony
Utah - Devin Booker
Toronto - Brook Lopez
Cleveland - Nerlens Noel/Andrew Wiggins
Boston - Danilo Gallinari
Houston - Dirk Nowitzki
San Antonio - Jrue Holiday/Goran Dragic
Golden State - Andrew Wiggins/Nerlens Noel
Edit: Forgot Whiteside, probably at least Toronto or Boston would take him; but i could also see Milwaukee or even Chicago take him.

Portland - Anthony Davis
Chicago - Cousins (really kill Boston inside)
Milwaukee - KAT
Indiana - Carmelo Anthony (they could use some more scoring)
Atlanta - Kemba Walker (help to score)
Memphis - Dirk Nowitzki (could use some shooting, also fits with their old team)
Oklahoma City - Gallinari (could also use some shooting)
Washington - Nerlens Noel (this is a hard one, they could use a bench player but centre seems to be their only weak spot)
LA Clippers - Wiggins
Utah - Devin Booker
Toronto - Batum (upgrade at Carroll's spot)
Cleveland - Jrue Holiday (can play with Kyrie or off the bench)
Boston - Brook Lopez (need a big guy and more scoring)
Houston - Frank Kaminsky (why not , another big guy who can shoot)
San Antonio - Ricky Rubio (backup pg incase TP plays poorly or gets hurt)
Golden State - Wilson Chandler (backup for Durant, they don't really need anyone)
Chicago - Cousins (really kill Boston inside)
Milwaukee - KAT
Indiana - Carmelo Anthony (they could use some more scoring)

At this point they just need a big body.
I should have put Whiteside or Drummond but totally forgot about them. And they would likely be taken earlier

I'm surprised no one picked Porzingis. With OKC, I think Porzingis or Dirk would be great because of the 3, but it would be tough with so many bigs because they would need wing defenders.
The need shooting, and they also desperately need someone to be able to run the offense when Westbrook sits, preferably someone who could hit the 3 and possibly play with him. I'd consider Darren Collison there as well who also hit over 41% from 3.

Bulls don't really care whether they get AD or KAT. Imagine having either at PF ahead of Mirotic. Yikes.

Just Rudy Gobert for everyone.
Especially Golden State.
EDIT- Read the question wrong. Make it Whiteside for Golden State.

So the best wings and guards are all playing in the play-offs?

Bucks would take a big. We struggle to get 48 minutes out of Thon and Monroe and Giannis is our only reliable PF.

I think people are going about this incorrectly. Taking a high usage player and trying to integrate him right before the playoffs start within 1 week would be insanely difficult. Unless the plan is to let an AD or Cousins be the focal point of your bench for 15-20 mins/game I can't imagine them meshing quickly enough.
The best players to draft would be rim protectors and good 3 and D type 6th Men/Bench players who know their role immediately and are used to quickly adjusting to new situations.

Re: Reverse Playoff Draft - Playoff Teams Can Add A Player - Who fits their team needs best?
Should play this game with restrictions on all-stars and all-nba players over the last 3 or so years. Like best fit fringe all-stars and role players for each playoff team. Some of the guys that are being given to teams are so good that it's almost too obvious to even think about.
Maybe, but Anthony Davis could get by on lower usage. He'd be unstoppable in Portland. Lillard/Davis pick and rolls would be plain nasty. Nurkic and Davis backline would be incredibly tough to score in the paint on. CJ & Crabbe providing ridiculous spacing. Davis would be getting the easiest shots he's ever seen, it would be a cakewalk for him out there... or for Lillard.. or for McCollum... not to mention with Nurkic if your best defensive big is a natural 5... good luck boxing out and denying Nurkic position with a 4.
You've got 3 absolute flamethrower scorers and a pretty solid 3rd option who now the 4th option. Obviously all these lists are basically just creating superteams... but Anthony Davis provides the basic premise of what Portland needs at the 4 right now, a bit of shooting and a rangy defender... and amplifies it by a huge magnitude.
